Zauls Posted March 20, 2014 Report Share Posted March 20, 2014 This card is really good against Artifacts, Galaxies, Lightsworns, Tiaramisu, Gear Gigant X and most Rank 4/5s that are played in every deck. It is pretty overlooked in my mind and you don't have to play Traptrix to use it (though Myrmeleo can search it which is amazing). It could be a decent Side-Deck tech next format. newhat Posted March 20, 2014 Report Share Posted March 20, 2014 This is fine in its archetype and for securing your big monsters, but Lance makes it risky because you frequently have to wait for an Xyz or Synchro before you can use it. For that reason, I prefer Void Trap Hole, which, although it cannot hit 1900- ATK monsters, it will stop anything else even if their effects are not activated. On the other hand, not activating the effect they Summoned will inconvenience their plays. In the case of compulsory effects that activate upon Special Summon, it would make them reluctant to Special Summon that monster unless they have an immediate answer. Now, to exploit the mentality... Zauls Posted March 21, 2014 Author Report Share Posted March 21, 2014 Well Artifacts and Galaxies in particular can't even function without activating their effects when they are summoned so against those decks at least then you won't have to worry about it being played round unless they simply don't play at all.
