Serious topic about a joke status

a bad post

Recommended Posts

So, anyway a while ago I made a joke status about why women's breasts had to be censored, and if men can walk around shirtless why can't women. Like I said, it started out as a joke, but I don't know I feel I have a point here. (Just humor me)

What I'm saying is that the only difference between male and female breasts in that on a women they're enlarged, so what I don't understand is why this difference is such a big deal. At first I thought it might be a case of eroticism, but it is just as erotic to show a shirtless man to a woman as it is to show a shirtless woman to a man.

Maybe this is silly, but whatever, anywho discuss YCM~

I used to see it as gross looking and I still sorta do but I realize it goes against two things I believe

1. I hate censorship, bar the crotch areas (book censorship, swearing, etc censorship is not needed)

2. It's just enlarged, glorious skin on the body.

But if you really think about it....women just don't like it. If men and women didn't, it would be different.

See they have the "right to privacy" in a sense. If men wanted it they could have it.

Besides its okay to go shirtless I just get to see your bra

also the above two posters bring up points

I don't know I have mixed feelings on it.

I mean they care about their butt too....

But I legit want to know- if a lot of women go around practically adverstising their tits and buttocks then why do they care when we see them > <

I'm also confused as to why the nipple itself is the issue, because no one cares about cleavage 9 times out of ten

men have nipples

and so do women

Men are more likely to rape a naked woman? That's as ignorant as people agreeing that the boy who got punished for being bullied for liking MKP deserved it.

It's a two way street. Yay, it's just enlarged skin. But women want that "censored", so we can't go against that without being "sexist". But to go as far as saying it would cause a woman to get raped? No. Again, two way street. Why can't men turn around and say we can't walk around shirtless withought provoking a woman, or even a gay male, to rape us?

In my opinion, it comes down to intolerance and ignorance from both sides of the spectrum.

Sorry but I agree with "insert arabic name here".

As much as I would like to see women rape naked women more because it would be hot as hell men do most of the raping.

I'm pretty sure a naked woman is likely to get raped almost just as much as a clothed one. Especially since I think they look better WITH clothes on. =P

When you start reading research papers and when your mother has a masters degree in psychology come and talk to me about ignorance. I don't pull rabbits out of my arse like you do, so watch what you say and unless you have proof don't go around claiming others are ignorant.

Men are more likely to rape a naked woman walking down the street because of their hormonal boost. Idk about you but if your penis' limp when seeing a naked woman you need to get your thing checked out.

Well... I'm a woman so... I mean I don't think that women should walk down the street with their boobs out in the open for everyone to see, but its like on television and stuff... but TGM is right, most of my friends wouldn't really like it if someone saw their breasts. I suppose if I even think about it from my own perspective I don't like to show that much skin in the first place...

Not merely that but the fact that walking down the streets naked can easily cause harassment. People can easily sneak touches and the girl cannot do anything about it since she accepted to go out with nothing on.

I see some indication of contradiction.

OT: Why? Stigma, created from a stronger association with sexuality, that has yet to be dampened out.

A limp penis could easily mean there's an erectile dysfunction which means there is a hormonal problem.

This is the problem with this website, a few 12 year olds trying to be men all of a sudden.

And you come to that age conclusion how? You've no proof of my age.

Alternatively, it could also mean no sexual arousal, which is pretty common in cases for homosexual males, asexual people, etc. I do hope you considered this, though it seriously appears you've not.

That seems quite ignorant to me.

*looks at avi*

*shot repeated times*

You know this may sound vulgar but sometimes naked women....don't "appeal" to my body or mind. They really don't. I'm not gay it just doesn't usually appeal to me. I don't stare at naked women or anything but if a picture somehow pops up (welcome to the interwebz) it doesn't....turn me on.

I can understand the assumption, but the assumption is wrong nonetheless.

The irony, oh my.

OT: I agree - the image of a naked woman alone is, on occasions, not sufficient stimuli.

Fine, 10 year old, don't be sad.

Rather than flaming on the topic, perhaps take it to a private message and try show a shred of maturity?

Nonetheless, wrong again - maybe you'll get it someday. I highly doubt it, but there's always a chance.

Good job not sticking to the topic

It takes 2 people to have a fight. 1 to end it.

From my point of view, it's because we have and still make it a big deal. I'm sure if women had been wandering around the streets topless since the 20's that we'd be perfectly fine with the female chest area.

Can you please not behave like that? Regardless of how you feel, trying to offend somebody else helps nobody and can just show that you no longer have anything logical to say so you resort to sophistry. That being said, using your mother's degree was already a prime example of sophistry (appeal to authority, that is), but that was not nearly as malicious as the last few messages. Anyway, please don't do that.

And in terms of the topic, I personally have mo quarrel with the showing of the body to any degree. I mean, censorship is not something I support, and I think that the difference in where men can be topless compared to women is a bit unfair, but it could just be out of fear. As Kyng mentioned, breasts are still viewed in a sexual manner (and will probably always be, considering their purposes), but the addition of women being insanely sexualized in almost all aspects across almost all ages compared to men also causes negative connotation.

I don't know. I don't like anybody touching me in any way, so anything under my clothes would just be even more uncomfortable. That is for my own perspective, as TC mentioned her own. I would also probably not show my body outside anyway, given how I feel about it.

I really question why the human body and mind, especially the male, was made to over dramatize and prioritize sex. Or what tits even have to do with it. I mean I don't know sex in and out but I'm pretttty sure it mostly takes place below the breasts.

But then there are those extreme perverts....

It irks me that a lot of human beings are like this....but at the same time I'm glad we are because it causes us to have the decency to wear clothes.

But really I don't approve of censorship of any kind, except the genitalia because that crap is freaking nasty.

Right. Please, go read a few research papers. I have been exposed to this topic at least a few dozen times because of religious law arguments. So before claiming that I'm deceiving people with "illogical" arguments, I REALLY suggest you read and educate yourself.

I was merely replying to Kyng with the way he/she replied to me. So don't mash your head where it doesn't belong. If this was between me and Kyng, leave it between me and Kyng. Don't stick your nose in it and try to be the "mature" one.
