You can only activate 1 effect of "Ghost Gate Horse" per turn, and only once per turn. When this card is activated: You can send 1 Beast-Type Tuner and 1 Beast-Type non-Tuner from your Deck to the Graveyard, and Synchro Summon 1 "corn" Synchro Monster by treating them as Synchro Material Monsters. You can send this card from your side of the field to the Graveyard and target 1 "Chain Dog", "Key Mouse", and "Lock Cat" in your Graveyard; Special Summon them in Defense Position.

 

The idea is to immediately drop Key Mouse and Chain Dog from the Deck to create Thunder Unicorn (It was gonna be any Beast-Type Synchro, but I don't want to involve Naturia Beast here). Then you Normal Summon Lock Cat and immediately create a Level 4 Synchro with the revived key mouse or a Tricorn with the Chain Dog that will revive for free.

 

Usual Beast decks nowadays revolve around Level 2, or are Heraldic Beasts, so you could tech Key Mouse in them and drop it with Leo, as non-optimal as that could sound.

Also, the art seems random for a field spell. Field Spells are generally a place, not a headless MLP thingy.

It is a Field Spell because of tactical reasons rather than because of flavor, but you are right. My original idea was to draw the gate and some horse that could fit artistically with the Dog/Cat/Mouse trio. I had to settle down with something I found at DA due to lack of time.

Nope, Xyz Plant is a sort of Spell Monster version of Copy Plant that can mix with anything to form anything.

Here you have your share of Beast Tuners raging from Key Mouse (intended use), Shiva Warrior Taro, Fabled monsters, Elephun, etc. but you can only go for Unicorn, Bicorn, or Tricorn.

And yes, the idea is an instant Synchro in exchange for the card going away or when activating it.

 

I know it sounds bad, but you can only do 1 or the other each turn, with limited targets, and being a Field Spell allows it to be disrupted on either one of those effects. You have to either run the Key/Lock/Chain trio or the Uni/Bi/Tricorn trio to make use of this.

And actually Im starting to feel this should be a monster card that cant be destroyed by battle, like spirit reaper.

But thats just me.
