the_engineer
Personally i think we will see something like this: BANNED: -Evilswarm Exciton Knight (outright broken card) -Big DRulers (Their time has already passed) -Absorbing Jar (Probably going to be killed because of shenanigans with artifacts) LIMITED: -Mermail Abyssteus (Too consistent, needs a hit) -Geargiaccellerator/Geargiarmor (Either one of these) -Heavy Storm (Could be possible, since backrow now has thet little surprise factor) -Dragon King Atum (2 stronk) SEMI-LIMITED: -Abyss Sphere (Either this or Abysslinde at 1) -Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon (Because why not?) BUSTED -Compulsory Evacuation Device (This has lost a big part of his power in today's meta) -Bottomless Trap Hole (Traptrix push and pendulum control) -Gaia Dragon the Thunder Charger (Powerful, especially with the artifacts incoming) UNLIMITED: -Magician of Faith (No one uses it anymore) -Tragoedia (Why is this still on the banlist?) -Dimensional Prison (Should return at 3, it's surpassed by mirror force) Discuss your opinions on your banlist, but let it be civil
Sleepy
I think the first thing people will say is that it's way too early for this discussion. Even taking into account that our last list did not have much of a big impact and so the current format is pretty much last format with new cards, we are still midway into THAT. And I personally think the game is fine with no Heavy, but you can never really discard that possibility I guess....
Toffee.
SEMI-LIMITED:-Gaia Dragon the Thunder Charger (Powerful, especially with the artifacts incoming)Gaia should just outright go to 0.Concept wise, it looks harmless and silly. Playability wise; You "sacrifice" an Extra Deck space for the ability to bypass drawbacks and also buff up whatever you just used- Yea, no. Agro
I think that they're going to hit a few defensive cards for no reason, hit cards that were too powerful 2 years ago, bring up arguably too powerful offensive cards, make a few changes no one is sure what to think of, hit cards from a powerful deck (that the deck doesn't need) to make it look like they're doing something, and hit maybe one card that really needs to get hit. goddamnit names are a pain
Uh.....CED is widely used and is one of the Four Core Traps, I believe. Anyway.... Absorbing Jar isn't bad because Artifacts. It's only used in the really awful builds. Like so awful I wouldn't even play it. I'm with you on the whole Excition thing but I don't feel like hearing the "necessary evil" bull crap. "-Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon (Because why not?)" Are you freaking stupid. This is me being civil by the way. And it's about 2-3 months to early for this discussion. I can see Theosophy or Moralltach especially getting hit and a few Sylvan cards...but I get the gut feeling they are going to give them both a format or two to themselves. Tenki or Bear needs to get hit to 1-2. Mermails are prettty much dead. They have to play differently so maybe it isn't dead, but still.... Gaia is already a 1-2 card so hitting it to 2 does literally nothing. It doesn't need a hit IMO, it really doesn't. I mean tops down to 1. I'd like to have Heavy and Avarice back, personally. And if Excition is a necessary evil as so many like to say, why the hell is Heavy not? I've heard some stupid arguments for why Exicition should stick around... Lonk
Theosophy of the Artifacts might be hit. Not sure if TCG likes a splashable engine, especially if said engine is now going to get Extra Deck control under its belt.

the_engineer
Yeah this is what I was trying to convey It really does SUCK Use it at the first turn and trow it away while siding, not that big surprise after your opponent knows what you want to set. It's still quite trollish
