Sleepy
This might very well be a monstruosity because of the Type/Attribute/Archetype combination, but I figured I'd start off with the risky version and see what kind of feedback I get. Any small detail you can tell me to change to make it more balanced will be welcomed. You can only activate the effect of "Heraldic Beast Dream Watcher" once per turn. If used as an Xyz Material: You can target the Xyz Monster; Xyz Summon 1 Xyz Monster from your Extra Deck that is 1 Rank lower than the target, using the target as an Xyz Material. Maeriberii Haan
The activation timing is kinda weird. Is it a trigger effect or an Ignition effect? That aside, card's not really worth it aside from being a 1-of. Extra deck is cramped already for rank 4, and running Rank 3s will eat even more space (not to mention no Rank 3s are really worth it for Heraldics atm aside from Leviair). Also this is a pain to draw, though Amphis kinda helped on that. Main use for this seems to be like Gaia Charger.

I guess I should make it more like Gagaga Girl, Star Drawing, and Extra Sword, since it's trying to activate more or less at the same time but without giving the effect to the Xyz. Well... I think just changing the effect to be like these other cards is the move to do. And *phew* I'm relieved and glad it's fine (or even underpowered). Guess it's trying to support something that's just not a thing anymore. Chain Dog is not really used anymore there so this being a beast is not a plus. Being a WIND opens access to Chidori but I guess they don't lack WIND anymore either with that new dragon (well.... new-er is more accurate). Heraldic Beast dropped C69 for the sake of their Field Spell a while ago so retrieving Unicorn (or really any Heraldic) with Leviair is not optimal. Thanks for the comment. Maeriberii Haan
To make this useful, there's a lot of ifs that needs to be fulfilled. You need this in the grave since it's a horrible topdeck, if drawn, you must pitch this somehow, or have dog in the grave. And while extending combo is fun, Heraldics already have many field-extending combos. It's not a bad card, and running 1 won't really hurt the deck, but I think this card is just eh for the deck. Daigusto Sphreez
The vast majority of Heraldic Beasts are better off in the Graveyard though, so this wouldn't be a new thing. The field spell, ambisephia (or however on earth it is spelt) foolish and maybe pwwb/rb give plenty of grave options, not to mention the pregenitor xyz. However, as already said Rank 4s are predominantly better than Rank 3s, and I agree that the room for Rank 3s would be tight. If this card had an effect when it is detached (nothing to overpowered, but just generally helpful) I think it would give it a bigger selling point.
