Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
Flipangutan Earth/Zombie/4/800/1600 FLIP: You can target 1 monster on the field. Change that monster to either face-up Attack Position or face-down Defense Position. Porcupine Fish Water/Zombie/1/200/400 FLIP: Inflict 200 damage to your opponent's Life Points for each card on the field. Book of Flip Normal Spell Card Change all face-up Flip Effect Monsters on the field to face-down Defense Position. Traitor Fog Continuous Trap Card Activate only when your opponent Special Summons a monster(s). Target 1 other monster your opponent controls .Take control of that monster as long as this card remains face-up on the field. A monster affected by this card cannot declare an attack except on monsters that were Special Summoned. Ultra C Continuous Trap Card Xyz Summon an Xyz Monster in face-up Attack Position from your Extra Deck on your opponent's side of the field using the proper Xyz Materials on your opponent's field. When this card is removed from the field, return the Summoned monster to the Extra Deck. When that monster is removed from the field, destroy this card. {Now that both Jars are gone, I believe Book of Flip could be printed the way it's written. Not sure if Ultra C is overpowered or just silly, and not sure if Traitor Fog is situational enough to negate the +1.)
(GigaDrillBreaker)
OK. I feel super nice so I am going to do a quick review on this. Flipangutan: The ability to change monsters' positions is a fairly weak one unless brought to the point of ridiculousness (see: Ghostricks). Additionally, flip effects are difficult to set off in this destruction-heavy point of the game. Even powerful ones such as MJ #2 were not consistent. This is really cool, and I love the name, but it is pretty bad. Porcupine Fish: Here we are! This is something I can get behind! You happen to be receiving from YCM's resident (and likely only) chain-burn player, and this is very reminiscent of Des Koala's (a card used in a few builds) effect. BUT WAIT! This is level 1, which means it can be used in Xyz shenanigans with Scarecrow, Fader, or Valley for Utopia Roots or Slacker! Beautiful! Book of Flip: Sure. Why not. With the morphing jars getting banned, I feel like we can get away with something along these lines in the game. Traitor Frog: I misread this thing's name... Anyway, this feels REALLY good, especially as side-deck material for mirror-matches. This instantly takes care of problem cards such as... What are problem cards these days..? I guess Dracossack. He is still kicking, right? Plot twist: I misread the text as well. I cannot comprehend a situation under which this would be particularly useful, save disrupting Xyz plays. Ultra C: Another gem, IMHO. When I am not running Chain Burn, I am running Scraps, and this thing is beautiful with scrap dragon. Simply use this to drop a rank 4 on top of their guys before they can, and blow up the trap with Dragon, putting your monster back in extra and theirs in grave. And yes, this thing is silly. Zeppeli Gyro Supreme
I could have tried to be more original with Flipangutan's effect, I'll admit, but it was supposed to be based on its already bad effect in the anime which only changed the position of an opponent's Defense Position monster. Porcupine Fish still feels really weak effect-wise, but I didn't want to make the damage much more than 200 per or it could get pretty insane in the right scenario. It's leagues better than the flat 400 from the anime at least. Could probably boost it to 300 per? Traitor Fog originally took control of a Special Summoned monster. I figured that it would be extremely difficult to balance this, so I decided to change that to something else. You could still drop it when your opponent summons the tokens for Dracosack, though it would have to ram its own token in most situations. It situationally can screw over the opponent immensely, but you can't just drop it at any time and expect to get a lot out of it. I wanted to simulate the fact that Flip made his opponents play Baby Triagon to play Ultra C. This way, you can force your opponent to play it when they really don't want to. Though they would need the proper materials, of course. You would need the proper Extra Deck cards to make full use of it, though.
