omersonic
Here is a balanced and good way of Summoning TWDR. What do you think? When this Tribute Summoned card is destroyed by battle; you can activate 1 "Summoning of the True Phoenix" from your Deck. Use this card's eff to activate this: Shuffle this card into the Deck. If this card is activated by the effect of "Offering Phoenix", it gains this effect: Banish 1 "Offering Phoenix" from your graveyard and Tribute 2 "Phoenix" monsters on your side of the field; Special Summon 1 "The Winged Dragon of Ra" from your hand, Deck or graveyard, ignoring the Summoning conditions. It gains ATK equal to the total ATK of the Tributed monsters. And Ra is on the field!
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Here's a list of all monsters with "Phoenix" in their names that can be used for this in the actual game (of course, it depends on how you read "phoenix" in Japanese) Cyber Phoenix Daigusto Phoenix Phoenix Beast Gairuda Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys ZW - Phoenix Bow Elemental HERO Phoenix Enforcer / Shining Phoenix Gearfried With that said, you already need to spend 1 Tribute to get Offering Phoenix out and have it get killed [which may happen, considering its modest 2000/1500 stats]; otherwise the Spell ends up like Mask of Remnants (goes back to Deck unless said Phoenix dies in battle). Though, it does lead into summoning Ra and having it gain an ATK boost like the anime made it do [why Konami decided to omit this from the real release, we might never know]. As noted above, those are the monsters that would be needed to be Tributed for the effect of True Phoenix [and frankly, they don't have much, if any synergy with each other]. It's nice to see some added support for Ra though, especially after Konami stripped it of its stat-gaining effects that made it feared in the anime. kevin7653
I agree, the cards that this would be compatible with, don't realy work together well. Plus, in my proffesional opinion, they are prety OP. Perhaps summon it half ATK, or make the card garder to activate??? This is just my opinon, I haven't been around for awhile, so it's probably outdated by now....

Your last sentence explained it, this is too situational and not OP at all, honestly it quite weak, need that monster to be destroyed while you control 2 other Phoenixs, so unless your opponent are dumb, they'll never attack it without get rid of other Phoenix first
Toffee.
Considering how drastic and situational Summoning is, you could just swap "Phoenix" with FIRE Monsters. I mean, with regards to the list Sakura posted, it wouldn't make it as narrow minded, or at least, as far as what you need to get it to trigger. Plus, it would give it some more playability, considering Offering needs to be destroyed by battle.I mean, if you want.
