For example, Use Berserker Soul, monster attacks directly. The effect of Berserker Soul activates. Once that's happened, you use another monster to attack directly and therefore the lingering effect of Berserker Soul acivates again... And so on

No. You attack once, you activate this card, let it resolve, and that's it. It does not create a lingering effect.

What monsters inflict damage from the grave, by the way?

Lightsworn Wulf? When it gets sent to the grave, you can inflict 2100 damage when it's summoned again and attacks directly.

Off-topic: I thought this card let you attack multiple times, and I thought it might be lulz with Raging Flame Sprite, but then I actually read Berserker Soul and realized I was wrong.
