Denver Posted April 27, 2014 Report Share Posted April 27, 2014 Just to be clear, the people here who claim to have these phobias...you do realize that, for it to be classified as a phobia, it must be an irrational fear in proportion to the actual stimulus, right? I feel like people're using the term incredibly casually, when phobias are something a lot more serious than people think. In that case, I think only my phobia of the future is the one that applies here. Although thinking it over, it might just be more along the lines of severe discomfort thinking about it rather than actual fear, in which case, I have no phobias. I had an incident when I was younger where a chunk off the ceiling of an old house fell on me (I was k) and like a million of those shits fell with it and they were all over me and I never got over it. The Warden Posted April 27, 2014 Report Share Posted April 27, 2014 My Acrophobia used to be pretty severe, but after I did some abseiling in High School I'm fine with heights so long as I know I'm supported. Elijah~ Posted April 27, 2014 Report Share Posted April 27, 2014 Spheksophobia- Fear of wasps. Every time I see a wasp outside ANYWHERE, I take off running at my fastest pace. I can be cutting the lawn for example, if I see a wasp, I'll scream and run inside the house. It's not as severe as it used to be, but it's still bad. I mean like, I won't even go near it to kill it I will leave my room at 3am and just stand near the door while almost crying. I am absolutely terrified. Smear honey you're in 'Straya, you have the right to be shit-face scared of anything in your god-forsaken country. I myself have Claustrophobia (fear of being in a closed space with no escape). It's not even that bad when it's like some kind of tight tunnel or smallish room but like near-skin-tight situations. There's a creepypasta with a picture which fucks me up, guy in a cave and it's so tight he can't move or do anything. Absolutely terrifying.
