Lore: Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. When this card is Summoned: Banish all other Dragon-Type monsters on the field. While you control another Dragon-Type monster, this card cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. All Dragon-Type monsters you control gain 500 ATK except "Zu-The Last Emperor Dragon".Once per turn: You can discard 1 card; Add 1 Dragon-Type monster card from your Deck to your hand.

Just a quick post to check if this card is balanced or not. I'm making a new deck archetype and wanted feed back on this card. Basically plays like rare metal dragon but much more powerful and harder to get out.

Lore Fix:

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. When this card is Summoned: to your side of the field, Banish all other Dragon-Type monsters on the field. As long While you control another Dragon-Type monster, this card cannot be targeted by your opponent's card effects. Increase the ATK of All Dragon-Type monsters you control by gain 500 ATK. Once per turn: You can may discard 1 card; to Add 1 Dragon-Type monster card from your Deck to your hand.

You're forced to use other resources to bring out Zu, in comparison to every other card that has a way of bringing themselves out, and for that trouble, Zu eats up every form of Dragon-Type card advantage you've already laid out beforehand. That would most likely include REDMD which seems to be the most efficient method of Summoning big things like him.

At the very least, he makes up for his troubles by being an all-purpose Dragon tutor and a near-unstoppable 4000 ATK beatstick... Hmm, maybe you can afford to drop its ATK a bit, since Zu also boosts himself.

Since this card has a Semi-Nomi clause, the only way you can bring this thing out is by Darkness Metal Dragon or if you ditch him in the grave and SS from there with whatever revival card. The former option is probably the most reliable way to do it (and possibly one of the few ways you'd ever do so)

Even so, every other Dragon on the field dies when it's summoned (which does fit its name, flavor-wise). Depending if your opponent plays Dragons as well, it either hurts you alone or both players get hit hard.

At least this allows you to get more dragons and trigger the second effect: protection from targeting effects; which are prevalent nowadays. Its 3500/3100 stats are nice, and with its effect, boosts to 4000.

That being said, I agree with Gadj's last part about lowering its ATK. Perhaps make the ATK boost effect affect everything but this, since 3500 ATK is still quite formidable on its own.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I've fixed the lore and took your advice: Zu no longer boosts himself. I appreciate it.
As for the point about REDMD being the only way to viably summon him, I have a few other ways:

You can go for the obvious route of summoning him via Lord of D and Fluit of summoning dragon.
You can also use king drangan (Lord of D + Divine Dragon Ragnarok) to special summon him.
Or you could try your luck with "a hero emerges" or "a rival appears" though this approach is flawed for obvious reasons, eg: relies on your opponent picking/having the right card, easily countered, etc.

Anyway, the basic idea behind this card is that you'd WANT to have this card in you deck, not just save your other cards as this in not balanced. With that said, I'd like commentary on whether or not this card is broken.

thanks.
