It's good, but not that good anymore in today's meta. Sure, you remove a monster from play. Then what? Fissure, Smashing, Lightning Vortex, etc.

Chaos Sorcerer would run slower in our format, and it would also give less of an advantage. So I would say Sorcerer.

Sorcerer should not be banned. It is a good card, no doubt, but probably wouldn't even be tournament worthy any more. Why remove one monster from play, and then not be able to attack, when you could just summon Caius, remove a monster from play, and then attack for 2400 damage?

 

And why use either of those cards when you can just summon Dark Armed Dragon, destroy your opponent's field, and activate Dimension Fusion for game?
