When this card is Normal Summoned: You may Discard 2 Spell/Trap Cards from Hand from your Deck: Add 1 Normal Spell/Trap card to your Hand. That card cannot be used in this round. You can only use this effect once per game. If this card is Destroyed by a Card Effect: You may Banish 2 Normal Spell/Trap Cards from your Graveyard to Special Summon this card in Face-up Defense Mode. You can only use the effect of "Bunny Sage" once per turn.

solid 1900 attacker, flexible S/T researcher, instant self setup for generic rank 4 xyz (although only once). and its Type have many support

while i admit i'm not a good reviewer i think most people agree the ATK stat is already too high. not to mention its effect

i'm not say its a bad card, but if this card is printed legal it won't take long until this card join limited or forbidden list

OCG fix (using DUEA fixes, note that number in parentheses is a substitute for the circled numbers):

(1) When this monster is Summoned: You can discard 1 card from your hand; add 1 Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. (2) If this card is sent to the Graveyard by a card effect: You can banish 2 Normal Spell/Trap Cards in your Graveyard: Special Summon this card. You can only activate the (2) effect of "Bunny Sage" once per Duel.

---

Alright, it can discard a card from hand to tutor any Spell/Trap you want (which can set up for its 2nd effect). It also has a one-time revival effect if it somehow dies from Mirror Force, Torrential or w/e destruction effects exist. I could see this used with Spellbooks or something, given they banish some of their cards, which ties into this effect somewhat.

1900 ATK on a Level 4 that can do this is high; lower it a bit to 1700 or something.

Other than that, I suppose this is a decent card, notwithstanding the support Spellcasters already get.

The above poster is right. The last Generic Spell/Trap searcher (and the only one) is Single Purchase which requires you Banish your whole Hand when you don't have monsters and have to have at least 3 cards in hand to do it. I love the idea, but this would become an immediate staple in everyone's deck (even Decks that run like 3 S/T's... Yes, I have seen a few decks like that...).

Not to mention the ATK is high for a LV4 overall. And it's effect is whenever it's Summoned... I love the idea, but the game would break with this card. Maybe if it was limited like this:
"When this card is Normal Summoned: You may Discard 2 Spell/Trap Cards from Hand: Add 1 Normal Spell/Trap card to your Hand. That card cannot be used or set this round. You can only use this effect once per game. If this card is Destroyed by a Card Effect: You may Banish 2 Normal Spell/Trap Cards to Special Summon this card in Face-up Defense Mode. You can only use the effect of "Bunny Sage" once per turn."

This way:
-The card pool is limited a lot
-the player still goes an Inherent -1 Hand-wise.
-The player may have to give up some good Spell/Traps to get 1 they need.
-The effect then can only be used 3 times per duel, (one for each different Bunny Sage in the deck)
- The SS can't happen if it was because you negated his effect.
- The SS isn't as bad as it would be otherwise.

Anyway, it's a good idea, just needs to be limited some.

  • 2 weeks later...

There's a little problem with that part of the effect that says

That card cannot be used or set this round.

Because it's impossible to check Set cards without card effect interaction, how would we know if someone is adhering to the restriction of not being able to Set that card?

Problem fixed.
