Cards that are apparently "good"

Recommended Posts

Okay, Mirage Wastelands takes the cake as the absolutely most hilarious card I've ever seen. 11/10 not broke.

The idea behind the Mutagoyf is funny, but terribly executed.

Asha is a Bant Angel, she can't be Red. >_>

Hugh Long is, at least, better than Tibalt.

Asha's ulti is mildly underpowered. You'd only play her for her 2/1 first strike vigilant dudes.

Lhurgoyf nest screams "Please Shock me."

Mirage Wastelands is Isochron Scepter on a Land. That instacasts whatever you imprint it for free (e.g. nonstop Silence every turn). That also produces 2 mana at no condition even if you don't imprint anything. That's terrible.

Hugh can easily reach ulti range because his plusses keep checking the field of any dudes who'd try to attack him. And at an early point in the game, that means the opponent's saccing their only dude. Do we remember how stupid Balance was? That thing is banned in many formats for a reason.

Care to explain how bad these are to someone who doesn't play MtG?

They are either poorly designed or too good.

Mirage shouldn't give the ability to cast cards for free, and change the speed of them either. And 2 mana is too good on a land, even on an artifact.

Mutagoyf is too problematic for rules and the execution is poor. Could be done better.

Just look above.

Rod stated the rest.

Mirage imprints sorceries too?

Goddammit. Isochron and Elite Arcanist can only imprint instants for a reason.
