TCG Konami really needs to get their s*** together [Royal Command]

Now, which one of these is correct, according to Konami of Japan?

 

The first and second one. the third one is wrong where they mistranslated.

 

This is a relevant card against Shadolls, and is used against them in the OCG, because it stops their effects both when flipping AND in the grave. Ignore that the TCG royally fucked up this command.

 

OCG relevant rulings:
Ｑ：《ニュート》の戦闘破壊された時の効果のような、「リバース効果ではないリバース効果モンスターの効果」は無効にできますか？

Ahh, it took a moment to see what you mean.

 

The way it's currently worded suggests it only negates the Flip Effects themselves (and not other effects). Whereas the OCG negates all effects a Flip Effect monster possesses, regardless of whether it's related to the "Flip" part.

I forgot this card existed. And I had no idea the card could also stop the non-FLIP effects of Flip Effect monsters.

 

The card is great against Shadolls but if won't affect other relevant decks and, unless I am missing something, "Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror" does the job better. It should be a decent side deck choice for non-Shadoll DARK decks, though; and I guess you could side x3 Shadow Mirror + 1~3 copies of this if you want to hard-counter Shadolls that badly.

SIM can't be sided by DARK, and the OCG's taken to siding 3 this 2 SIM if anything, so that doesn't seem to necessarily hold up.

Sounds about right. Makes sense, if you yourself run any DARKs worth having their effects. Better to negate something that your least likely to run than to shoot yourself in the foot trying to inconvenience your opponent.
