The Next Two Numbers: S39 and 95 [Manga]

Recommended Posts

Number S39: Utopia the Lightning     (Or Hope the Lightning. Whatever floats your boat.)

(No images, and the effect is incomplete as of writing.)

Rank 5 | 2500 ATK    (Yay, continuity.)

Negate the effects of any monster that battles this card. If this card has "Number S39: Utopia One" as an Xyz Material, it gains this effect.
● This card gains ATK equal to its Rank x 1000.

Number 95: Galaxy-Eyes Dark Matter Dragon      (No Photon? Wow, Kite.)

(Again, no image. But there is an effect already.)

Rank 9 | 0 ATK

? Level 9 monsters
Cannot be destroyed by battle except with "Number" monsters. This card can make a second attack during each Battle Phase. The ATK of this card becomes the combined original ATK of the Xyz Materials attached to it. You can banish any number of Dragon-Type monsters from your Deck; banish an equal number of monsters from your opponent's Deck. When this card is attacked: You can target the attacking monster; banish both the opponent's monster and this card.

Rank-Up-Magic Shining Force    (Weird, I remember typing this out yesterday...)

Target a "Shining Number" monster in your Graveyard, or on your side of the field. Xyz Summon a "Shining Number" Xyz Monster that is 1 Rank higher than that monster by using it as the Xyz Material.

So, that makes seven Manga-only Numbers? I think those need some releases. Anyhow, discuss.

We have...a Rank-Up...of S39.
*eye begins to twitch as a blood vessel pops there, filling the eye with red*

You know whats worse? The fact Rank-Up cards don't Summon "S" monsters.
So chances are, it's going to it it's own specific Rank-Up card.

So...a new S39...that's essentially a Rank-Up. But it's not a Number C, so even if it was released, most Rank-Up Magics have no use.

Unless it also has an effect that lets you Summon it by using S39 as Material...but why the hell would they bother doing this? S39 was already absurdly impractical. Whatever, manga. If released, they might adjust its effect.

Galaxy-Eyes Dark Matter Dragon? I'm greatly amused. And it's a "100 series" Number, meaning it'll have to be released eventually. I'm amused a LITTLE by the fact it has ATK based on its Overlays, but I don't see it being practical as a Rank 9. A RL release will probably let you do something involving Galaxy-Eyes. The "banish Dragons from Deck to banish monsters from opponent's Deck" is just stupid, and for some reason, it has Galaxy-Eyes' effect, but permanent.

I...guess that fits with the concept of Dark Matter?

With wording exactly like this, do you go look through their deck and just throw out cards? And how do you confirm they have the right number of monsters?

I know we'll get something different but still.

There are no R7 DARK or LIGHT Dragons so you can't Astral Force this lol. Same with Hope the Lightning.

"The ATK of this card becomes the combined original ATK of the Xyz Materials attached to it."

And most of the Galaxy monsters/Xyz have a base attack of 3000+ so, new OTK card? Also, that banish effect would have been good in dragon rulers... a few formats ago. Based on it's effects, It seems it will require 3 level 9 (or in this case, just rank-up over a Galaxy Eyes Xyz)

I don't hate S39. I think it's gimmicky as hell, though.

S39 seems to be almost the manga equivalent of C39, in terms of being an upgrade to No.39 that relies on low LP, and makes a comeback based on that. And the SZWs are ZWs to support S39.

I'd say my real distaste for S39 is that it's ANOTHER evolution of No.39. Even though it's the manga, rather than the anime, fans and players as a whole are probably just REALLY fed up with No.39 and its plethora of upgrades and support.

Alright, since some new information came out, I updated the page. Utopia now has an ATK, and its effect is, as far as I know, complete, and I included the new RUM, which I do remember typing out when I made the post. Not sure what happened there.

So, Utopia the Lightning. A 7500 ATK beatstick. I think both Galaxy-Eyes and Utopia needs to calm down a bit here.

Didn't realised that Utopia One had been released at all, so looking at that... hmm... the hero of the manga's boss monster is one with an effect that reminds me of Gandora Dragon of Destruction. Which is... odd.

As for Dark Matter Dragon, well there's nothing you can rank-up into it from as of yet, so for it's likely summoning conditions, would you rather go this or our other friend in the nineties False God Dragon?

Brick: Most of those Numbers were all used by the same guy, and most of them in the same duel. Therefore they would most likely come out together, presumably in a Number Hunters 2 collection.

We still don't have....

The Numeron Gates ( Which seem like they will be in the Japan Judge Exclusive Boss Pack )

Number 5 ( STILL haven't seen.... )

Number 100

14, 21, 23, 70 ( Kyoji's Numbers )

Number 28 ( Haruto's Number )

Now 95.......

They really need to get it together.

OT- No clue why 95 isn't a Photon. Maybe the IRL effect will say "This card is treated as a Photon monster"

Galaxy-Eyes and Satellite work if 95 only needs 2 Materials. If it needs 3, not going to happen.

But the easiest way to Summon Rank 9s use monsters with low ATK. Satellite and Galaxy-Eyes would give No.95 only 3000 ATK, begging the question why you'd Summon it instead of keeping Galaxy-Eyes, even if you do get a second attack.

Which is exactly why I think it will have a special summoning condition like 99.
