Masked HERO confrimed

Recommended Posts

If that thing about MCS is true, then Fortune HEROs just got a hell of a lot funnier. And, to be fair: Vapor really does suck in comparison to Acid.

It's quite surprising, actually, how Vapor can be so inferior to Acid in spite of being an easily summonable 2400 ATK monster that cannot be destroyed by card effects. I think the power creep in terms of battling really caught on to it; and, of course, Mask Change being a Quick-Play, along with the Absolute + Acid combo makes all difference.

Nevertheless, we still need a worthy representant of the FIRE attribute between the Masked HEROs, because Goka is pretty pathetic.

So...

Discard 1 card, then target 1 face-up monster you control that has a Level; send it to the Graveyard, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Masked HERO" monster from your Extra Deck with the same Attributeas that monster, but with a higher Level. (This Special Summon is treated as a Special Summon with "Mask Change".) You can only activate 1 "Mask Change Second" per turn.

If that "Masked Change Second" lore translation, published in The Organization and the Wiki, stands correct, then that means, with Koga out, we FINALLY have a *somewhat* reliable way of triggering off this:

Not to mention, y'know, it doesn't make Shining miss timing.

It's not even that it's that amazing. You're only going to put it out to push or beatstick. If it wasn't LIGHT, we likely wouldn't even be talking about it.

It's a pressure card. You can force opponents to sacrifice cards to get rid of it, however something like the hands can do that without losing anything.

So I'm mixed on its uses.

Koga is balling. Your opponent is basically helpless to try to get over it or anything else you have as long as it's face-up on the field.

Put it alongside Dark Law and most decks in the meta are just plain fucked.
