Monarch King
This card's Normal Summon cannot be negated. When Normal Summoned, roll a six sided-die and apply the result: 1: Draw 1 card. 2: Your opponent draws 1 card. 3: Gain 800 Life Points. 4: Your opponent gains 800 Life Points. 5: Each player draws 1 card. 6: Destroy 1 card on the field. After this effect resolves, shuffle this card into the Deck. You can only use this effect of "Santa the Acceptable One" once per Duel. I know its not christmas but think its time to make something funny and very broken :P
Kyng
I know its not christmas but think its time to make something funny and very broken :PIf you're trying to make a Broken Card, why are you posting this in Realistic Cards - Single Cards?See the issue?Nonetheless, since this'd be spammy without a review - just as you say, the card is pretty broken in its own right. There's absolutely no disadvantage you can gain from this unless you play pretty damn abysmally. This card changes way too much for way too little cost, the advantage it generates - yes, determined by luck - pretty large in all cases. My only suggestion is put in a bad result, as Santa does give coal to the bad children, and Tribute/Return the card to the Deck to activate the dice roll, since Santa isn't around when the kids open their presents. Please, though, try not to make broken cards in this section. J-Max
Funny and Broken does not belong in Realistic I am afraid... But I am a fair man so I will review your card. First of all, a monster that's Summon cannot be negated should only be reserved for higher levels. Having this instantly sets you up for something later as your opponent cannot negate it. Now for the effects.... I will go through each 1. Effect 1: Fair enough your netting 1 card from a Summon. Effect 2: Life Gain is fine too. 1000 is not too bad in the sense of it. Effect 3: No... Just No... The ability to add ANY card to your hand is a very powerful tool to have. At least cards like Gild Sarcophagus forces you to wait two turns before you get the card. Effect 4: Pretty generic destruction effect although it doesn't really suit the flavor of your card as why would Santa Destroy? Effect 5: Okay now this is pushing it in Life Gain, 1000 is fine but this is too much. I would have made the effect something regarding Spell Counters or something rather then yet more LP. Effect 6: No. Being able to Draw 2 Cards AND keep Santa on the field isn't right... Most Draw 2,s require you to give up something for the privilidge. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Toyo made a long rant about cards like this. But since I'm part of the YCM Tutoring thing Axi started, I'll give this a review (though most of the stuff has been repeated) First effect gives it protection from Warning/Judgment or whatever cards negate summoning. This, in turn, translates into triggering any of the effects, either of them doing something beneficial. E1: Any form of draw effects are looked down upon for the most part because of what they do. E2: LP gain? Alright, but 1000 LP is a bit much. E3: Adding cards straight to the hand has already been done in several existing cards, and many of them have requirements/limitations in what they can do. E4: Doesn't make sense for Santa and is pretty much a generic thing, as J-Max mentioned. You can have it kill one of your cards to make it somewhat of a drawback effect as Kyng mentioned E5: 1k LP is fine; no on this one. Change this to something else instead of a heavy LP gain. E6: Just no. We do not need another Pot of Greed or any insta-draw cards. As a whole, all of the effects here generate advantage for you, regardless what you do. #3-6 are especially deadly for the gamestate. You either need to add some form of drawback effect on them or scrap them entirely. To sum it up, broken cards do not belong here in Realistic. As noted at the beginning of this post, there have been several mentions of this matter being the case in RC; causing the quality of the section to go down. Please fix your card accordingly so it adheres to this section's standards.
