gmaster1991
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned, you can Special Summon 1 "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. When this card in your possession is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle, or by card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: You can target 1 Normal monster you control; equip this card to that monster. While this card is equipped to a monster, that monster gains 2000 ATK, and if the equipped monster attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing Battle Damage to your opponent. Yea, I know. A Red-Eyes counterpart to Azure-Eyes isn't very imaginative, but I wanted to give it a shot. The card art is not mine.
Blake
I mean, I don't know why you'd choose to make it a Synchro. Synchros are White. Xyz are Black. Given that, DM's "evolution" in this vein is an Xyz. It's blatantly obvious that it would be an Xyz, not a Synchro. Making this a Synchro just reeks of poor design taste and appreciation. It's honestly really bad. It's a tiny beater that gives you nothing of worth and doesn't even defend well. Its equip effect isn't terrible, but it's nothing to write home about. And then I realized it's only to Vanillas, so it IS terrible. Piercing just seems like a winmoar tackon that doesn't even make sense in any sort of flavor. What about this card is "Red-Eyes"? Its reversed stats? Its similar naming scheme? With AESD I can at least guess it's blue-eyes related on its stats + ability to protect/revive Vanilla Dragons. If not for the first effect, this doesn't even feel like a Red-Eyes card, and that seems tacked on to make it one. Should've been an Xyz, should'be been more originally thought out, flavored, and designed. It is inelegant and a poor attempt at making a counterpart to AESD. I guess that's what happens when I design a card at 2 AM after having taken Zzzquil... lol
