I Hate Snatch Steal
If your opponent controls more cards then you do, you can normal summon/set this card without tributing. During your turn: you can declare 1 turn phase other then draw phase; you skip the declared phase once (this is a quick effect). You can only use this effect of "Time Skip Magician" once per turn. Once per turn when your opponent declares an attack, if you have activated a "Time Skip Magician" effect during your previous turn: you can negate that attack. You must control this face-up card to activate and to resolve this effect. During your Draw Phase, if this card is in your Graveyard, instead of conducting your normal draw: You can add this card from your Graveyard to your hand. Rulings notes: - Standby Phase skip rulings: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Card_Rulings:Solomon%27s_Lawbook - The chosen phase will be skipped the next time it would be conducted, even if that is during a later turn. (eg activating the effect during main phase 2 declaring "Main Phase 1" would skip your next turn's Main Phase 1) - Any effect of "Time Skip Magician" that starts a chain will qualify for the "if you have activated a "Time Skip Magician" effect during your previous turn" clause, not just the phase skipping effect. -Time Skip magician only has to be face-up when activating and resolving the attack negating effect, not before (eg, you could activate Time skip magician's effect to return it to your hand, end your turn, and then during your opponent's turn use call of the haunted on a different time skip magician and still negate an attack). Originally it was going to skip the phase for both players but then I realized how many locks that causes
Trebuchet MS
Do I have to go through the problems arising from skipping the End Phase, or does the new "until end of turn will replace until End Phase" negate those issues?
Zauls
Ummm, so what does this card actually do that is advantageous to you? You can negate an attack every turn... great... The last effect isn't even worth using, I'd rather have my Draw Phase, thanks. It is just a 2000 beatstick with a weird situational effect that doesn't help with anything and it would be complete pack filler in the real TCG. It is so ridiculously easy to get over just by using effect removal or summoning 2 bigger monsters, so it won't be lasting long. I don't know how to make this card better without changing the effect and concept of the card completely, other than adding some effect that makes your opponent skip phases, but as you say, that is a bad way to go design-wise. It combos with this for starters: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Message_in_a_Bottle there are probably more cards out there that I haven't thought of yet (double edged sword technique doesn't really count since you'd just synchro/overlay those monsters anyway) I was hoping there would be enough combos to make a phase skip deck with it. edit: here are some more possible combos: Power bond rekindling return from the different dimension (traditional only)
