Maria Yuri :3
This is my first post but please be as cruel and honest as you can. Commander Shepard from Mass Effect as a Duel Monster Card! Commander Shepard, FIRE, Level 7 [Warrior/Effect] When this card destroys a monster by battle and sents it to the graveyard, activate 1 of these effects: - Gain Life Points equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster in the graveyard. - Inflict damage to your oppoent's Life Points equal to the ATK of the destroyed monster in the graveyard. Basic card but I thin that works for the character! Thanks for looking at my card :
Thomas★Zero
I have to admit this card looks amazing for both art used for it and concept design with its effect.

Darj
So are you AnzuChan4ever from Deviantart? I don't know much about the Mass Effect series, but looking at the opposite effects in the card and after a bit of research I learned that you can make your character good or bad depending on your in-game decisions, so I get how the multiple choice effect adds flavor to the card. However, neither of the effects are good nowadays because: 1. the metagame has evolved in such way that basically any "when this card destroys a monster by battle" effect is unreliable. For instance, some cards activate their effects when they are destroyed, and thus punish you for destroying them. 2. an important aspect of the game is generating or maintaining card advantage through effects that, for example, destroy a card on the field, let you draw a card, negate other card's effects, and so on; and this card doesn't generate any advantage. Just in case you don't know what exactly "card advantage" means, you can read the section VIII of this guide in YCM, which also explains why effects that modify Life Points are not considered as effects that generate card advantage. Then, as a Level 7 without any built-in summoning condition it won't be easy to Summon this card without losing card advantage, as normally it would cost you 2 monsters to Tribute Summon it, or you could go out of your way by discarding or sending this card from the deck to the grave and then reviving it with other effects; but if you are going to bother with all of that only to Summon a monster with an arguably weak effect, you might as well play a better Level 7+ monster that is actually worth the effort. My suggestion is to, first, give it a built-in summoning condition to make it easier to play. Look at Master Hyperion or BLS for examples of summoning conditions that are relatively easy to fulfill. Then, either replace the LP effects with others that help with card advantage, or add a protection effect that lets the card trigger its effects safer. Mass Effect is from 2007 so this card is from a 2007 Yu-Gi-Oh! where it still was about skill and stuff.
Darj
So this card was designed for 2007 format. In that case I'm afraid I cannot help you because I have no idea of how the metagame was back then. After searching about this format, it seems that Monarchs decks and their variants were dominating, and considering this card is essentially inferior to Monarchs as a 2-Tribute monster and with an effect that doesn't remove cards from the field, I suppose it is not good enough for 2007. I suggest to at least make it Level 6 so it i will be easier to Summon. By the way, I forgot to mention the card and artwork look awesome.
