Pchi
Wind-themed Yokai monsters, huh? Now we just need some kind of tengu and we will be all set. Regardless, these look pretty damn cool. The Trap's artwork seems to indicate that all of them will be mustelid-like Youkai, though. And the one at the background seems to be female. Armoire
But... the 2 in front are clones of the Weasel and the one in the back is the one they're attacking who looks like a general humanoid. The one in the very front is Kamaitachi. The male behind him looks like a completely different monster, with different hair and a katana. And the one in the back looks like a generic loli with twin tails. And rather than attacking her, it looks like the three of them are attacking together. I'm guessing the main monsters are going to be Beast-Warriors, while the Pendulum Monsters are going to be the WIND Beasts.

After relooking, the middle is different, but the one in the back is very clearly being attacked. They're stumbling. That's why one leg's up high and they're dropping something. And this is an archetype of men.
Ignis avis
Looks to me like all three in Yousenjuu no Higi have the same skin/fur color, and at least the swordsman has a similar face design to kamaitachi. Kama-itachi travel and attack in threes, striking out at people from thin air. The first kama-itachi slices at its victim’s legs, knocking him to the ground. The second one uses its fore and hind legs to slice up the prone victim with thousands of dreadful cuts. The third one then applies a magical salve which heals up the majority of the wounds instantly, so that none of them proves fatal. This bit of trivia seems to match up with art of Yousenjuu no higi to a degree due to their being 3 similar monsters depicted. The last one not being a fighter doesn't have a visible weapon, while the first two would be the ones who would attack the victim and they both hold a weapon. Darj
Well all spirits always return to the hand these guys only return to the hand when summoned a specific way. Normal summon for kamaitachi or special summon for Daibakaze. You are right, but still, it's not like they can't make exceptions on the Spirit clauses; after all, they have made changes to Toons and Unions: A couple of Toons don't need Toon World to be Summoned (e.g. Toon Masked Sorcerer), and the newest Unions protect from any kind of destruction. And getting a Spirit archetype that actually threats the metagame would have been refreshing in my opinion. I also think the 3 monsters seen in the Trap look like Yousenjuus: Same skin and hair color, similar clothes and apparently all of them have animal ears (the last one looks like it has cat/feline ears). And the trivia further supports it.

The one on the back, who definitely has more feminine features, what with the twintails and thin arms, seems to be holding something though, which may or may not be some kind of mystical weapon or artifact. Maeriberii Haan
This recent fad has made me realize something. This is an archetype of furries (Kemono) wearing Kimono. I am now ordering a Carlos.

It's possible that the third one that is indeed carrying something, but it might be the "healer" of the three and be holding the salve.

Although, consider the last one looks like he's dropping the salve, that could be why the effect that the card is negating is also destroyed.
