Marco Polo
That's the WATERmons yugioh fam. I was debating with myself whether should I release Kyogre aswell, as he was just silly OP. I figured I'd wait a bit. customized card art btw, also that's mega gyarados in the pic, I know, I don't really mind.
FLIP: Special Summon 1 "Gyarados" from your hand or Deck.
I really wanted to make more, but couldn't think of worthwile pokemons to include, was thinking seel and it's evolutions, and walrein and stuff but they'll go into an ICE Pokemonz thread rather than a WATER one. You're welcome to insert suggestions for different pokemon.. :)
Hunduel
Nice cards, but I think the "Evolution" mechanism should be a bit different. Remember how LV cards work? In my opinion, that would be a much better option for a set like this, especially with Pokémon-specific LV-up cards, like Rare Candy, and toolbox sets like Poké Ball. Anything else is nice, I like how the pictures are forming a pseudo-archetype. I like how they are supporting each other, yet you still have the freedom to choose which one you want to use. What template are you using for your cards?
Marco Polo
Rare candy is an awesome idea! I prefer this over LV though. LVs are a heavy, slow engine. Thought something you could manuever easier would do better. Pokémon card desingers usually over complex the the evolution system, I preffered avoiding a system altogether :) I'm using a customized Judas' hd card template, cards are later rescaled to 640x860 (i think) in postimage and afterwards look fantastic btw. I thought making tentacool, tentacruel now, not sure how yet though.

For example, to Summon Gyarados and Milotic, you have to actually Tribute or banish Magikarp or Feebas after they are Summoned, and they aren't Summoned by their FLIP effect. I actually understand what you meant by it (as they are mostly destroyed when they activate their effect), but there are cases when they stay on the field, and, well, it's just dumb lore-wise to see both the pre-evolution and its evolution. Or just make them Ritual monsters and make Rare Candy the Ritual Spell.
Spinny
Loving it since i totally agree with the over-complicated lore thing. i agree with Ferenc but at the same time i think the system would be too slow. However... did you take into consideration what happens if your opponent does proc the flip eff by attacking it (which is a great feature it makes it really similar to the anime), you would get a free level 8 synchro monster so maybe say that it has to be part of a WATER synchro summon or something, Goldeen confuses me so instead just say that you can synchro during either players turn by using this card as one of the materials, i got what you meant but it just doesnt really work. Make a way to shuffle the feebas back in please!!!! cus when you banish them u have no cards to get them back unless you are using cards like fish'n swaps or fish and kicks then it would work but could you please make a card to save those poor feebas and seadra >.< Really loving it keep it up hope my perspective helped you :)

Ah and I forgot to write a part of Goldeen's effect. in short, if Goldeen was sent to the Graveyard by your opponent, Goldeen can be used as Synchro Material while it is in the Graveyard, though I forgot to add that part banishes it afterwards. And yup, I'll do something to shuffle your seadras back, especially when you ask so nicely. :) come check for new stuffs soon. @joseph They don't have to be LV monsters, but something similar would be more interesting. If Magikarp survives, it does so too but if so, it can't fulfil the Gyarados protecting eff. lore-wise I'm not that bothered, it's like evoltile westlo, both are evolving but westlo survives at times. I'll definitely put in a rare candy mechanism somehow, that was a fantastic idea. there's still no way to Summon Seaking using Goldeen which kinda bothers me, so next pokemon is lvl 3 non-tuner, suggestions guys? Its effect could also rely on searching Rare Candy, or should have the same effect as Rare Candy but in a monster form.Rare Candy will be a little tricky, as none of the evolutions share a common archetype or card type to work generally for all cards. So these are the ways to create it:- It will be the last card you create and will mention all cards and its evolutions- It will rely on activating the flip effects instantly- It will be a general Summoner card for your monsters (in this case, the lore won't be perfect)
Marco Polo
Thanks for the help. I had a concept more fitting for rare-candy, as in Pokemon, it's less concerned with evolution but with Levels. I'll use your concept with Water Stone though, which's next. Water Stone will deal with triggering Freebas, Magikarp and Staryu/ also Phione, Staryu, Starmie and Rare Candy added! :P
Spinny
Awww Was really hoping that rare candy would be some sorta tribute and as something --- levels higher than it from your extra or main deck Rare candy ATM is just a really bad staryu Loving the monsters except that phione is instantly slaughtered by maxx c and wouldn't see much play but on well. Other then that well done its coming along nicely Glad to be of service Also i would LOVE to see lumineon please!!!! :)

Other then that well done its coming along nicely Glad to be of service Also i would LOVE to see lumineon please!!!! :) Except that Rare Candy can target opponent's monster (as long as it's non-Warrior), so it can mess up Synchro/Exceed plays. I was also expecting something else, I hope Water Stone will be the card I'm waiting for. RC is still nice, though. Phione is a bit weak in its current form. It should be more like Treeborn Frog with the same restrictions as it has now (Synchro/Exceed limits) Staryu is okay, it's like those Constellar cards. Starmie has a typo/error in its card ruling. It mentions Tribute and Xyz (exceed), then it says Synchro in the second part of the sentence. You did a nice job for countering the loop of summoning 3 Starmies. Can't wait to see Blastoise and Carracosta!
