- Minimania -
I just realized we don't have a universal water search EDIT: So there isn't a think with Mermails also fixed an OCG
Nathanael D. Striker
There is a reason universal searching is looked down upon. RotA is semilimited, and that is only limited to Level 4 or lower Warrior-Type monsters. This takes ANY WATER monster and let's you add it to your hand. Not sure if Merlantians, but this could be ridiculous for them. I would suggest a Type and either a Level/ATK limitation on it, but even then it isn't desirable. I was doing this card with Gishki and Ice Barrier in mind, wasn't thinking about Mermails fixing
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Technically speaking, the fix still affects Mermails, but it more or less restricts them from searching the stronger ones. Ice Barrier/Gishki aren't too fazed with the nerfed effect. IBs are still mostly Level 4 and under (discounting the Generals, Dai-sojo and other things, but they have Medallion for those things). Granted, it does cost them hand advantage but I don't think that should be a problem. Gishki pretty much get most of their members out (discounting their Rituals); that's about it. If they lose a monster to play this (discard); they have Aquamirror to summon their bosses. In essence, most Decks that focus on WATER monsters can use this to grab an easily summon-able monster That being said, unlike RoTA and other search cards, it's triggerable during your opponent's turn due to its Quick-Play status. Granted, it's not as bad as before, but as mentioned, it's still a copy of Reinforcements, except for WATER monsters only. Needless to say, it'll be a staple in any WATER deck that needs extra search power (IBs don't really need it though)
