You can have 1 of its Xyz Materials be a Level 3 card in your Pendulum Zone. If you do: Activate this card as a Pendulum Card instead of Xyz Summoning it. This card's Scale becomes equal to the Pendulum Xyz Material used +1. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material; send 1 non-Pendulum Monster from your Deck to the Extra Deck face-up and treat it as a Pendulum Card until it is Pendulum Summoned..

 

It doesn't go back to the Extra Deck after leaving the field like Pendulums do, just in case that doubt existed.

Its main play is making Timegazer a generic Scale 9, and ditching its OTK oriented effect for something that can help you set up for when you complete the arc.

 

The downside is MST potentially hurting more than usual.

Looking at it again... Theoretically, the level cap wouldn't exactly matter for the It-becomes-a-Pendulum effect, because, given the effect, you would be Setting it as a Pendulum scale instead of actually Summoning it. Unless you wanted to word it differently, I mean.

I wanted to keep the Xyz concept true to itself as well. Besides, the more generic I make this card, the easier it is to break.

It is true that any Pendulum right now would make it alright, but who knows in the future.

 

After I made this card, I also realized it is not completely useless to actually Summon it since it keeps the detach effect. I think that's not a bad thing necessarily... maybe.
