Althemia
SECE-EN095Swordsman of Revealing LightLIGHT/Warrior – Effect/8/0/2400When an opponent's monster declares a direct attack: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, then if this card's DEF is higher than the attacking monster's ATK, destroy that attacking monster. An Xyz Monster that was Summoned using this card on the field as Xyz Material gains this effect.● Once per turn, this card cannot be destroyed by battle.Good news for you guys who are still hoping for the Duelist Packs ;)

Peridank
This is amazing... the concept, artwork, and the fact that it's splashable in a blue-eyes deck (For a simple Rank 8) I don't think I'd run it tho... unless I come up with some amazing combo for it. Goose
so stupid. there is conceptually very little between this and the swords of revealing light that are related.
Peridank
I agree it could be done better... but this card could be used in some decks... and konami tried none the less...

evilfusion
Oh, we're getting this (finally) in SECE? Cool. As for this card, it's pretty good, but it's really only a conditional defensive option when most Decks might prefer something more reliant. That said, it's a very nice card. Level 8 has Trade-In and the like, and being able to Summon itself a kill a 2400 or less attacker is sweet. The effect if used as an Xyz Material is interesting, but Rank 8s aren't usually likely to be killed by battle. It's still a nice trick to have. It could be used in weird Galaxy Decks, but it won't help their consistency. What the TCG needs is Galaxy Soldier.
newhat
It is far less reliable than it looks. People generally attack in ascending order so you frequently lose this after the kill, where something like Gorz would survive.
Peridank
It is far less reliable than it looks. People generally attack in ascending order so you frequently lose this after the kill, where something like Gorz would survive. Gorz requires no cards what so ever... This allows backrow... This could more easily be seen in decks that require spells and traps that are continuous... Or a field...
newhat
Gorz requires no cards what so ever... This allows backrow... This could more easily be seen in decks that require spells and traps that are continuous... Or a field... Summoning this is more reliable than Summoning Gorz, but Gorz is more useful once you do. A better comparison would be Tragoedia. This has the same early reliability, the same lategame unreliability, and a higher demand for other monsters to pair with it since it will just sit there otherwise. iCherries
I think this could be a cute tech in Galaxies and Gimmicks maybe.I wish its Xyz Material effect prevented overall destruction once or maybe card effects instead though. goddamnit names are a pain
They should have made it search Swords of Revealing Light. The effect is rather mediocre, especially the last one. However, it is a level 8 LIGHT. For whatever that's worth. Trade-in? Bad Galaxy builds? Slinky
The only rank 8 that would benefit from this is Number 23. Every other rank 8 shouldn't be in a situation that it could be nuked in battle.

Daigusto Sphreez
Quite a nice buff for Felgrand given how it is often just ran over at 2800 atk.
Slinky
Quite a nice buff for Felgrand given how it is often just ran over at 2800 atk. Pretty sure this doesn't work. Felgrand negates the effect. and Swordsman would be treated as an additional effect of Felgrand
