I will list everyone I can think of, and then go hunting for common bits of card design they set together for hints on how to construct their cards. (If you could suggest a theme for your own card, that'd be great.) Some common things: Our Set, seeing as we will often bash cards we dislike, will be focused on, to quote one RPer, "not letting your opponent play Yu-Gi-Oh at all". We will take cards away, mill the opponent's Deck, and basically make it hard just to play. Our Levels will be equal to our Level (under your portrait). Mods can be Levels over 7, and can choose to be Extra Deck monsters. Married couples will design themselves to support each other, or design a mutual Fusion. Grand Maker Draconus DARK - Level 4 - Dragon/Effect - 1800/1500 During each of your End Phases, place 1 Spell Counter on this card for every "Grand Maker" monster you control. Up to 3 times per turn, you can remove 2 Spell Counters from this card to activate one of the following effects: -Negate one attack, and add the attacking monster to your hand. -Negate and destroy one Spell or Trap Card. -Discard one monster from your hand and inflict damage equal to its original ATK to your opponent's Life Points. Grand Maker Radiant F.U.R.Y Grand Maker Ara Asura LIGHT - Level 3 - Warrior/Effect - 1000/0 Once per turn during your turn, select 3 Level/Rank 8 or lower monsters of different names in your Extra Deck: your opponent selects one at random. Special Summon the monster your opponent selected, ignoring its Summoning conditions. The two monsters your opponent did not select are banished. This effect cannot be negated, and the monster that is Special Summoned by this effect is immune to your opponent's card effects until your next Standby Phase. Grand Maker Gadjiltron EARTH - Level 5 - Machine/Effect - 2100/2100 During each of your End Phases, your opponent must select and activate one of the following effects: -Banish 1 card in their hand. -Banish 2 random cards in their Graveyard. Grand Maker Sakura Grand Maker Giga Grand Maker Shinki DARK - Level 7 - Fiend/Effect - 2600/1800 Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Once per turn, during either player's turn, if your opponent Special Summons a monster during the Battle Phase: you can halve this monster's ATK- it attacks your opponent's Life Points directly afterward. When this monster inflicts Battle Damage: Special Summon one "Grand Maker" monster from your hand. Grand Maker Surraco Grand Maker Noel WATER - Level 5 - Spellcaster/Effect - 2300/1600 If you control 1 or more "Grand Maker" monsters, you can Special Summon this monster from your hand. Any monster that battles this monster has its ATK and DEF cut in half during damage calculation, and is banished after the Battle Phase. During the End Phase of your opponent's turn, all monsters that did not battle this monster are banished, and your opponent takes damage equal to that monster's combined ATK and DEF. Grand Maker Kano EARTH - Level 5 - ??? (pick a type, any type)/Effect - Once per turn, you can send this card you control to the Graveyard to negate and destroy half of the cards your opponent controls. Grand Maker CowCow Grand Maker Omeletta DARK - Level 2 Grand Maker Tayla Líder LIGHT - Level 3 - Beast/Toon/Effect - 1400/200 As long as this monster is face-up on the field, it also counts as "Toon World". If your opponent does not control any "Grand Maker" or Toon monsters, you can select 1 "Grand Maker" monster you control- it can attack directly this turn. Every time a "Grand Maker" or Toon monster is Summoned to your side of the field, banish the top card of your opponent's Deck. Grand Maker Blue Amoonguss This was off the top of my head, so please don't hesitate to add yourself to the Set. Now I'm off to gather ideas! There is no direct Gadjiltron support yet, what with it consisting of a whopping 2 members, and being designed to interact with 3 different cards. If there's a card effect that personally appeals to me, it's a card that forces the opponent into a sadistic choice. And banishing things to ensure dead things stay dead. Trebuchet MS Posted December 27, 2014 Report Share Posted December 27, 2014 I appreciate what's been done for my effect, but I feel the impact is too strong. And as a result, once the opponent's banished their hand, for example, they'll continue to keep choosing to banish their hand (which they'll mostly have none of) to minimize the effect's bite in later turns. I would, instead, have these options. Their impacts are reduced but will always keep the opponent pressured. Banish 1 random card from your hand. Your opponent chooses and banishes up to 2 cards from your Graveyard. These options are from the opponent's point of view, leaving them to pick between a randomized effect they have completely no control over, or granting you the ability to control their Graveyard. You could select 3 powerful synchros (for example Red Nova, Quasar and Halberd Cannon) leaving your opponent to decided whether they want summons to be negated, spell traps and effects to be negated or face a beater which cant be destroyed card effects, even though the other two are banished, there are ways to get them back. If you tone the effect down so the highest level it could summon would be level 7 or 8 it would be better. Raising its own level would also help as you could summon this then bring out a level 12 synchro in one turn. In regard to its type, attribute and ATK/DEF. Being a LIGHT Warrior with 1000 ATK and 0 DEF would be good (the low ATK and DEF as more compensation for the effect). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
