Cool Girl
Well forgot to say, I also have some pretty strict teachers, especially in math and science, but this was a big surprise for me. Our Eurythmy teacher (Eurythmy is a kind of dance special to that school) screams all the time for no reason! If she sees a dance move go wrong, she'll scream. She's not even patient. She always wants things to be done right the first time! @BT: That is true!

If you think that you've got it bad then try having a fairly ocd French teacher that looks like she's about to die at the end of each lesson. BT
The problem is with me is that I understand the material so I feel like the teacher, or even stronger than the teacher, when the whole class doesn't understand it. Like my physics teacher chooses not to let me answer questions anymore, esp since I get it quickly (w/ or w/o calc) Also the types of questions I do in physics recently where you have to merge 1,000,000 topics together to get the right answer can also help in the real world, where you have to merge things/experiences from 2 completely different sections (idk what other word to use) and solve a problem EDIT: I also have grammatical problemz
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
Care to, ya know, actually provide arguments? Doing that is something nice you learn in the contemporary schooling system. Honestly there's no real reason to provide points. People are allowed to just express their opinion, asking for points is fine but no reason to say it like this. Anyway. I agree that grades don't matter in a...grades don't make you a better/worse person and isn't a great indicator of intelligence. However currently grades do matter for some because it makes it easier to get higher education and certain jobs. That being said there are still plenty of lifestyles that you can obtain without. For instance I want to be a writer, I don't need good grades for that. But some jobs/lifestyles require good grades. So it depends on the person. LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
Given that Ali was condescending towards an idea (grades) and you were condescending to a person, yeah, no you're just wrong. Anyway to not make this post off-topic. Something I noticed with grades/schools. At least mine. They focus a lot on memorizing things for the next test, but never really taught in a way that made it easy to remember for the long term. Basically all we were told to do was study the things for the next test and forget about it until we needed them for another test.

Rapidfire
Who gives a f***, it's all arbitrary. Although I fully agree with you, I still need to get into collage on scholarship... Soooo unless you're paying, I don't know what else to tell you, but that I care about my grades.
Tentacruel
Basically the only reason to care about grades is because other people care about them. Scolarships and shit.

This is actually a really good summary. Which is interesting when you think about it. If people started focusing on things other than just grades, the school system would drastically change. (imo for the better quite possibly)
