dephnaught Posted January 7, 2015 Report Share Posted January 7, 2015 Hey guys! So this is my first post, and its going to be a bit of a doozy. I created an entire archetype with 17 cards in it! Here's a some of my reasoning behind making the type of cards I did! I grew up playing Yugioh when I was around 10-11 I think, and as we all know there was no extra deck. Not that I have any problem with one, I just wanted to create something I felt could combat the meta (while not being ridiculously OP)using exclusively the cards in your deck! To go a step further, I thought it would be cool if the real meat&potatoes of the deck came from good old fashioned tribute summoning! I got some inspiration from the Monarch archetype, and though I REALLY like those cards, I feel like they don't have strong enough support, nor a good enough built in engine to combat the current "throw hand at field, special summon all the things" meta at the moment. I tried to balance the cards as best I could, in the sense that some of the cards will make you go + quite a bit, and though they may seem crazily OP at first glance, I designed the deck to require lots of discarding to function properly. I also tried to make it so that, not all the cards might go into a particular deck, and that their are multiple ways you can create a tribute engine/play the deck! I think it would be really cool if you guys thought of cool ways to combo or deck build around them! Anyway; without further a due, I present.. THE EARTH GODS! Well Much to my disappointment, after spending a couple hours working on the cards, i cant upload them to the fourm here, only these 3 will fit :( Any solutions? Instead, after you generate the card in the card maker, click on the card image. A link will appear - copy-paste that link directly into your post. (It says so at the top as well.) 2. There are a ton of OCG errors. I'm not exactly an expert myself, but I'd like to think I know a bit about formatting. 3. I would attempt and fix the errors, but you don't have the lore put separately, and I can't read the text very well. Flash Flyer - Sakura Posted January 8, 2015 Report Share Posted January 8, 2015 Also keep in mind that Fake Types are barred in Custom Cards, except for Experimental. (If you wanted to make a God card, then use Divine-Beast) You're lucky that the DIVINE/Divine-Beast ban was lifted a couple days ago, however. As stated in that change, make sure the card really deserves to be a DIVINE monster, instead of slapping it on anything. Basically, follow the Level 10 - 3 Tribute pattern, etc. In this case, I don't know. Recommend changing the Types/Attributes to something else. In the meantime, I'll move this to Experimental. And Oh darn, I thought I was pretty good with the OCG readings on the cards, but thank you for he input! As far as the type of monsters, again, I didn't realize that the "Divine" tag had to be specifically addressed in the structure of the cards, sorry! I was going for a "God" archtype sort of thing which is why I used it, and created the new "Divine God" as the type. The way I made the "Deck" work is so that unlike the monarchs, you cant tribute the gods for each other because they require a certain attribute to be summoned that way, and thats where the engine i created would come in. I tried to make it all work with the Lore of the cards; and I do actually have a card in the set (that i couldnt post becasue I messed up with the attatchment stuff xD) who is a pretty serious s.o.b :P I did repost the set to the advance card (multiples) section so If you guys would check that out that would be super! I tried to format the post as best I could so it might be a bit a less obnoxious !
