Thousand-Eyes Restrict: Discussion

The same people who think TER shouldn't be banned are probably the same people who think Treeborn Frog shouldn't be banned. Just because this is a horrible format doesn't mean the cards aren't broken.

bad card is bad. even in a dedicated deck' date=' its still not very good. it should be unlimited

NO.

Well, in a meta where Morph is banned, and Cyber-Stein is banned, AND Magical Scientist is banned, he's not that good. Just unlimit Morph and this card gets godlike automatically.

weaker version of plasma

This card is godly with unlimited Metamorphisis. If it were to come back with no Morph, obviously it's a weaker Plasma. But, if Morph's unlimited he lols @ Plasma hard for being a poser that isn't as good as him.

Thousand Eyes really isn't that broken, but what gives it the broken ability is when it's used with Metamorphosis. That, and his ability to chomp on stronger monsters, rid of his equip, and steal a new monster. Right now it could easily come back, though, and nothing would change. Almost every [okay] deck in existence has at least 2 ways to destroy a card other than through battle. And against some decks this card has absolutely no power at all (though very rare).

The same could be said of Raigeki.

As long as Metamorphosis remains banned, this card isn't banworthy, and since Limiting a Fusion Monster is just stupid (outside of Traditional when Advanced has banned it, obviously), it follows that it should be unlimited.

However, Metamorphosis and this card cannot co-exist (since Metamorphosis makes this so easy to summon that it becomes too easy to use; remember Goat Control?), and Metamorphosis is far more worthy of being unbanned than Thousand-Eyes Restrict is.

They're probably going to start making dumb rules like "this card is banned in decks that include.."

If they do' date=' I'll be mad D<

Actually, that would be fine by me. It makes sense in many cases; for example, Butterfly Dagger - Elma is only overpowered if used with Gearfried the Iron Knight.

It'd be fine with me too

Back to the topic, without any convential methods of realistically seeing play(Guardian Elma... sry lulz) it can be unlimited

But then if any of the already mentioned cards see play once more it'll banned again anyways

So it might as well stay there

EDIT:Agreeing with crabman

Why's everyone afraid of Morph and TER coexisting? Goat's at 1' date=' remember? And I don't think Goat Control could rival Dark Armed Dragon Return anyways.

(Though if we could only have 1 of the 2, Morph obviously comes first.)

DAD would be the first change to be made to a banlist, followed shortly by Dimension Fusion, DMoC, and Magical Explosion. That solves all that broken stuff.

Also, even if Scapegoat did stay at 1, there are lots of other Level 1 tokens in existence, and aren't most of the Apprentice engine monsters Level 1? There are a lot of Level 1 monsters that are playable.
