Just Crouton
One of the stars of "Power Rangers Samurai" has been arrested for stabbing his roommate to death with a sword ... TMZ has learned.Ricardo Medina Jr. was busted Saturday afternoon by L.A. County Sheriff's deputies in Palmdale, CA ... after a fight broke out between himself and the roommate ... Joshua Sutter. According to law enforcement ... Medina retreated to his bedroom with his girlfriend -- but Sutter forced his way into the bedroom ... and that's when Medina allegedly stabbed him once in the abdomen with the sword. Medina called 911 and waited for for cops to arrive. He was arrested and booked for murder. Sutter was transported to a hospital ... where he was pronounced dead. Medina got his break in Hollywood as the Red Ranger on "Power Rangers Wild Force" back in 2002. He went on to play Dekker on "Power Rangers Samurai." He's still in jail, and bail has been set at one million dollars. Slinky
Sounds like self-defense to me. Bastard forced himself into the room.
Tentacruel
Sounds more like voluntary manslaughter to me. Still a crime, but not "murder" levels of criminalitude.

Just Crouton
So, Tommy the Green MMA Fighter decided to be a dick on Facebook about this, then called out the "Keyboard Warriors" for rightfully criticizing him for it with a very head-scratching response. To think that I liked him in "Power Rangers Samurai"! This is awful! Wonder what happened to the TV show? Officially starting it's 22nd season next Saturday. While I don't agree with what he said, I do at least understand where he is coming from. These people are heres to a lot of kids, so this really isn't the greatest side from the VERY obvious.Anyway, heard about this a while and its just..............depressing. Anyway, the roommate shouldn't have forced his way into the room; but definitely Medina was in the wrong to stab him, unless said roommate attacked him with the intent to severely injure/kill. If it was for self-defense, then I could probably see it; but article didn't list WHAT sort of fight occurred. Did roommate actually attack him, or was this a verbal instigation and Medina grabbed the sword and just stabbed him? I'm not even going to ask how the hell he obtained said weapon. Either way, someone ended up dead and a former TV actor on a show many people watch is going to have this criminal mark on him for life.

Maybe he liked the idea of swords after being on Power Rangers Samurai. I don't think it'd be that hard for him to get. But yeah, this is saddening. I never watched Power Rangers as a kid, but I can empathize with those heart-broken about seeing one of their childhood heroes gone bad.

Flame Dragon
"Medina is best known for his role as the red Power Ranger in "Power Rangers Samurai.""I'll laugh at that as I continue to be sad. Even if it was in self defense, as JDF said, grabbing a sword is......excessive. I mean I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt since Medina was the one to call 911 and stayed at the scene, but still, sad.
