X-Metaman
Level 4/Winged-Beast/DARK 1800 ATK/400 DEF During your Main Phase, if this card was Normal or Special Summoned this turn: You can send 1 "Raidraptor" card from your Deck to the Graveyard. During your Main Phase 2, if this card destroyed an opponent's monster by battle this turn: You can add 1 "Rank-Up-Magic" Quick-Play Spell Card from your Deck to your hand, but you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except "Raidraptor" monsters. You can only use each effect of "Raidraptor - Tribute Lanius" once per turn. Discuss
ems97
Its somewhat generic since there is Quick Chaos which is another quickplay Rank-Up-Magic Card.
Maeriberii Haan
yay, finally a RUM searcher(even if it only searches 3 RUM)! The foolish effect is pretty neat especially due to Mimicry, and the stat coupled with the second effect is quite beautiful. Now hoping for the IRL version of the other RUM to be revealed
玄魔の王
So rumours about this being a self-Special Summoning Rescue Rabbit that granted the Xyz it summoned an additional effect were wrong. Bummer. Mimicry is about the only one you want to mill normally, but searching Revolution Force is certainly nice.

Also, I like how this has completely no relation to its name, effect wise. Unless you count sending to grave as some sort of "tribute" or something. Well, most Laniuses have little to do with their names, to be fair.
Blake
I... am absolutely fine with this, yeah. It cements Mimicry as the worst one to draw while giving you 3 more beaters/Monsters to pair with Kagetokage/Monk/Vanishing early. With Vanishing, it sets up Nest without any effort whatsoever. Toffee.
So.. the very first time we get a Rank-Up searcher, and it's a Raid Raptor.... *heavy sigh* ... But it's fine, since it's part of the gimmick they want them to have.
Blake
OH RIGHT Fun things to note:vanishing + mimicry/vanishing + RR-Nest = Search with RR-Nest, Stryx searches, then you can search the RUM/another bird with Mimicry.V + M + Swallow's Nest = Mimicry searches RR-Nest, Nest searches whatever, Strux (henceforth owl) searches another. The RUM is live off of basic combos, so it's not terrible. This deck can access Zereort into FA-Crystalzero Lancer, if you so wish. More importantly, it has access to both Zerofyne and Key Beetle. This deck can make 101/C101 without needing a RUM.This deck will be the optimal utopia deck with time, considering it has good R4/ (Leo Arms) 5 access and ways to roll in advantage to work with Xyz Change Tactics. It's all just a matter of more members.@Bold: I told you so. It can search any *quickplay* RUM, and you don't necessarily need to Xyz in MP2 if you're able to resolve this, so yeah. Take a turn to set up, then roll out. evilfusion
It can't search any RUM. Only RUM Quick Plays. That said, this card looks very good for RRs.
Slinky
It's a winged beast for Zerofyne, DARK for Strix, AND searches Quick Chaos? Yes please.
iCherries
So a monster in a deck that can search it in about five different ways who also searches RUMs(about goddamn time).... As much as I like it, they still need more main deck monstetrs.

As much as I like it, they still need more main deck monstetrs They don't, really. Like, maybe /1/ more, but that's all. Right now, you have 2 really good early Laniuses (Vanishing, Tribute), 2 really good mid-late game Laniuses (Vanishing, Impale), and a good fodder Lanius (Mimicry). Mimicry is the worst one (as a monster), and it gives you R5 access/search power. TBH, if Symbol gets printed and maybe 1 decent Trap, the deck's fine. Not top tier, but better than just about every other Arc-V deck thus far. Granted. Performapals might be an actually decent deck post-CROS as well, given the better Mallet + Lizardraw if it isn't nerfed too hard. That said, RR already feel stronger than the other decks they are in 'league' with, and they don't even have Tribute/all of CROS revealed yet. evilfusion
It still makes it sad that the anime hasn't showcased any of the RR main Deck monsters yet other than Vanishing. So RRs becoming stronger is purely because the OCG is getting tired of waiting. Okay, I know that's not REALLY how cards are made/designed, but is there any other anime archetype that got more good support independant of the anime, not counting legacy support from OCG exclusives post-series? *looks at Fluffals* GOOD support? *looks at Frightfur Tiger and Wolf* Ah, screw it, you know what I'm saying. Actually, Fluffals are the example. Dog, Owl, Tiger, Wolf, Cat, and Rabbit are all really, really good support. In fact, the anime fluffals are the ones that theoretically suck. Bear got buffed to being a good card (mostly cause vendor's a good card), but it was awful in the anime. Same for Leo and Frightfur Bear. They genuinely aren't awful, just a bit bricky and a bit too linear Pre-CROS.
evilfusion
Yeah, I realized. I was TRYING to criticize anime RRs, by pointing out how unique it was to have barely fleshed out an archetype in the anime, but significantly more OCG-first support...and then kept noticing that Fluffals did the same thing. I'm actually really starting to like Raid Raptors, although I am puzzled why the TCG made the archetype one word. It looks weird whenever I read it.
