Trebuchet MS
Inspired by a status I saw recently. Vanity's Shadow [Normal Trap] If you control no Special Summoned monsters: Neither player can Special Summon monsters this turn. Macro Cosmos eventually had D.D. Ground printed, so what about a temporary version of Emptiness, in the same vein? Unlike D.D. Ground, Vanity outright stops certain effects mid-Chain, while D.D. Ground can't do the same degree of play-stopping and needs to be pre-emptively activated more often than Vanity's. You have to control no Special Summoned monsters to activate this card, in order to prevent you from just using this card to establish your board superiority after you've Special Summoned a bunch of monsters in one turn. Peridank
This basically just stops your opponent from getting more big monsters while you're in a slump... still useful nonetheless...
Flash Flyer - Sakura
This definitely screws with Nekroz and a lot of other things that spam Special Summons, yes. Temporary, but still useful to stop their plays for a while. Granted, Qlips can still NS themselves, then chain with Skill Drain and stuff; but still good. ---- Or in a nutshell, you can make your opponent stop ED spamming if you need time to recover. Certain Decks might appreciate it, if Vanity's ever hits the banlist for whatever reason.
RedEmissaryofDarkness
Can't wait to run this in Monarchs. Just banish my opponent's BA with Mega Caius, and play this if they want shenanigans. Nekroz? Same thing. It really does seem rather broken in a Monarch deck the more i think about it. Hell, i can even see some Qliphort uses if they NS Stealth from a Saqlificed Carrier/Helix. That's how i see this card being used the most. I know i would play it, and i know a lot of decks can really appreciate it. And with the new Field Spell for Monarchs, it makes summoning them easier, and thus making stuns with this card that much easier
Nightmare Stomper
This card is decent and I think it`s a little less fair than vanity`s, seeing as you cannot just MST it. Though it would not become a staple, it would see lots of play. I would perhaps include a "Activate only if there are no cards in your Extra Deck". That would probably make the card not very useful for most people in the current deck, but you could still use it in pure monarchs. Really cool idea though. And I like the name.
