玄魔の王
So after the Crossover Souls rulings came out, this guy got a little more interesting... (This card is always treated as a "Frightfur" card.)You can target 1 "Frightfur" Fusion Monster you control or in yourGraveyard; this card's ATK and DEF becomes that target's original ATK and DEF, until the end of this turn. You can only use this effect of "Edge Imp Frightfake" once per turn. Apparently if Tomahawk mills this guy, he also absorbs its name condition and this becomes a Frightfur monster as well. So Normal Summon Tomahawk, mill Frightfake now sets up 2/3 of Mad Chimera the turn he's summoned if you're using Frightfur Fusion. It's not the best thing in the world, but Mad Chimera and this guy are both okay at 1, and now that I know that interaction works Chimera seems a little easier to summon. CLG Klavier
... ...this ruling makes very little sense.
Spinny
... ...this ruling makes very little sense. Nah its not that bad really. Because it is treated as a "Frightfur" card, and usually if it was, it would be in the name. So you might aswell call it "Frightfur Edge Imp Frightfake". Toffee.
Apparently if Tomahawk mills this guy, he also absorbs its name condition and this becomes a Frightfur monster as well.Is that TCG only, by any chance?
Dementuo
Think of it this way. Any monster named "Edge Imp Frightfake" is always treated as a "Frightfur" monster. When Tomahawk mills this card, it takes on its name. Because it's now named "Edge Imp Frightfake", it is also treated as a "Frightfur" monster, since every card named "Edge Imp Frightfake" is always treated as a "Frightfur" monster. Think of it as a condition attached to the name itself rather than attached to the card.
Armoire
Makes perfect sense to me, since Summoned Skull and others have the "(This card is always treated as a "___" card.)" because of their OCG name spelling thing.
evilfusion
So...this card may as well just be named "Edge Imp Fake Frightfur", as the parentheses indicate a condition, not an effect, so copying its effect doesn't make the monster a Frightfur, but copying its name will. Kind of like how Beyond the Hope is labeled as a Utopia card (and the TCG outright named it Beyond Utopia). I think that if the TCG gives it a name with both Edge Imp and Frightfur in its name, any ruling confusion will vanish.
Blake
Still completely bad because Mad Chimera is still awful. Might be better in the future.
evilfusion
Still completely bad because Mad Chimera is still awful. Might be better in the future. My hope is that they'll develop more Fusions that use Frightfurs as Materials. It was implied Sora has a stronger Fusion that requires 3 Frightfur monsters, but even a different branching out would be okay to me, like a 1 Frightfur + (insert other Material here) Fusion. The only reason I hope for this is to better justify the support that treats monsters as Frightfurs, as this seems like a weak tactic just for Mad Chimera. 玄魔の王
Still completely bad because Mad Chimera is still awful. Might be better in the future. Chimera is sub-optimal a lot of the time, yes. He really needed the same level of buff Sheep got, and he got a nerf instead. Like I said, I still tech 1 Chimera and 1 of this just in case. I actually need to go for it, for whatever reason.

I have not once wished I could have it out of all my testing. He costs far too much when he's basically just sheep with a mediocre goyo effect in exchange for not being able to float in any manner. Toffee.
To be fair, guys, Chimera only exists just to showcase Sora's extent and how far he is willing to destroy his own Fluffals in order to create some freakish abomination in a lust for power/victory. And that's about it.

I have played him once or twice late-game for a killing blow, when all the materials were in Grave or I had the aforementioned Tomahawk play. Is this anywhere near optimal? Of course not. Like I said, Chimera needed the kind of buff Sheep got, not his nerf. I'll continue to hope what evilfusion does, that we get another Mad Frightfur that's worth it.
