RedEmissaryofDarkness
Lore: Must be Special Summoned by banishing 6 or more Reptile-Type monsters from your Graveyard and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card gains ATK and DEF equal to the number of Reptile-Type monsters banished by this effect x500. Reptile-Type monsters you control cannot be destroyed by card effects. Once per turn, you can send a Reptile-Type monster from your Deck to the Graveyard. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a Spell or Trap card is activated, you can Banish 1 Reptile-Type monster in your Graveyard, negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. Honestly, I don't know how to feel on this card. On one hand, I wanted to give support to the Reptile-Type monster decks like Snakes, Reptilliane, and Aliens, but I feel this goes too far. That, and the comparison to Evil Dragon Ananta is rather uncanny. However, I thought to myself "Well, Cyber Dragons have Fusions with rather similar motifs." However, That's not my issue with this card. my biggest problem actually has to do with the current game. This may well be my last post in Advanced Cards and Design mainly because the lines in which something is broken and balanced has been so skewed that the Blurred Lines between them can no longer be distinguished. I know I can make more balanced cards, but everytime I make a post, i always worry "Is it too OP? Is it too underpowered? Where is the balance lines anymore?" I blame no one on this, just a frustration on the current Meta game. So i made this, and in any other day, this would be immensely broken, but I can't even tell anymore. I feel depressed honestly. I'm wondering if I need more time off. EDIT: Minor OCG Fixes to help clarify the banish Location
Tinkerer
Just a couple things about the card: 1) you never said where you're banishing from 2) stick to your gut when you think a card is OP. without a OPT, this card basically shuts down your opponent's entire S/T game. Especially if you use something like Snake Rain to dump 5 reptiles. As for your other concerns, I feel you. If you think going away is best for you, I say do what you must. No one here will think any less of you for prioritizing health over what you have here. Good luck. (Honestly though, I find it difficult to see the boundary lines as well. I don't think I have a single post yet that hasn't had people claiming the card is UP or OP. Don't get on yourself too much about that!)
Trebuchet MS
This is where you get others' opinions to help you see what you don't. Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 6 or more Reptile-Type monsters from your Graveyard and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. This card gains 500 ATK and DEF equal to the number of for each Reptile-Type monsters banished by this effect x500 this way. Reptile-Type monsters you control cannot be destroyed by card effects. Once per turn: You can send 1 Reptile-Type monster from your Deck to the Graveyard. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when a Spell or Trap card is activated: You can banish 1 Reptile-Type monster from your Graveyard; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. At minimum, you have an indestructible 3000/3000, though it already takes up a bit of setup (admittedly, Snake Rain already gets you 5/6 there) before it can land. Once that happens, the opponent will have a bit of a hard time dealing with this. Indestructibility already blocks out a lot of answers, and the few that remain tend to be S/Ts that this card can negate. It's strong, definitely, but whether adequately so is hard to see, especially since there aren't any viable Reptile Decks at the moment, despite King of the Feral Imps lending them some crazy fluidity that can search any Reptile, including this card. At the very least, I would weaken the indestructibility effect. Let it make other Reptiles, except itself (and perhaps other copies), indestructible. This means on its own there are still possible answers to this card. Also, as my OCG correction has noted, make this a Nomi - right now this card can be Tribute Summoned, albeit as a 0/0 (heh), but I don't think that's how you want this card to be.
