玄魔の王
So yeah, instead of a monster-less monstrosity, manga!Astral has ghosts of Yuma's monsters. Astral Magician Level 4 ATK/ 1500 You can target 1 "Astral" Monster you control; double its Level until the end of the turn. Astral Golem Level 4 ATK/ 1800 Astral Knight Level 3 ATK/ 1600 Effects unknown, but presumably the same as their original counterparts. Ritual RefinementSpell CardIf you control an "Astral" monster(s): Special Summon twice that amount of "Astral" monsters from your Deck. Parallel MaterialSpell CardThis turn, monsters you control can be treated as two Xyz Materials. So yeah, Number spam.

evilfusion
If the manga Astral at least spams non-Utopia Numbers, it will be superior to the anime. Admittedly, the anime Duel WAS cool, but the plot devices used to do it was really absurd. As for cards being OP...the anime at least implied that this is the entire point. Once Astral regains all the Numbers, he will be ridiculously powerful, so much that the Barians would have no chance whatsoever.

Spoiler: after the battle with E'Rah, Astral has absorbed all the Numbers save for Utopia and its variants, so he will NOT be spamming Utopias. Though Yuma may do so. So the same stands as the anime. It's also kinda funny if you think about the parallels between E'Rah and Astral's decks here - a shadow Archetype that copies opponents' monsters, and a halo Archetype which represents their spiritual forms. mshends
So it seem that Astral Magician has an effect that can change any Astral monster on the filed to any level range from level 1 to

newhat
You'd think Ritual Refinement is broken, but it can only Summon 2 monsters at a time since there aren't 6 Monster Card Zones. The broken one is Parallel Material because it's generic.

newhat
Huh? You're right, it's still absurd (more if Magician isn't OPT), but I can't think of a way to get more than 1 Xyz out of it, even if it is an instant 2-for-Shockmaster. Parallel Material creates a staggering number of OTKs. Off the top of my head, using this after Tributing Tefnuit for another Hieratic produces 2 Gaia Drakes and a Dark Matter Dragon. If Material is a lingering aura and not a stamped condition, it produces 2 Dark Matter Dragons.
mshends
Well you can use 2 Ritual Refinement during the same turn..
