Activate this card while the only monsters in your graveyard are "Machina" monsters. Send 1 "Machina Soldier", "Machina Sniper", and "Machina Defender" from your either your hand or deck to the graveyard; Special Summon 1 "Machina Force" from your hand or deck (this summon is treated as if was by the effect of "Commander Covington".) You can only activate "Machina Union" once per turn. You cannot activate this card if you already control a face-up "Machina Force".

So I get a 4600 beater for free if I'm playing pure machina, or I could tribute him to special summon the mats from the grave and go for some rank 4 plays.  if you think about it that way, this thing basically might as well say "special summon 1 Soldier Sniper and Defender from your deck"

Technically, you could call bullshit because you have to run Soldier/Sniper/Defender, who are typically dead cards, in order to play This on first place.
However, because This card requires no realistic setup, has no gimmicks/etc attached to it, it becomes an issue. Especially because it can Summon from the Deck.
