D/D Necro Slime (Anime)

Recommended Posts

I'm starting to think Reiji has actually gained the different aspects of this deck from different dimensions, because this thing is a blatant reference to Darkness/Nightshroud. Not only is it a ram skull, but the latter character had a monster called Darkness Necro Slime.

As for this thing, you can actually wombo combo it with Swirlal Slime:

-Swirlal Slime's effect, send this and itself for Temujin

-Necro Slime, send Abyss Ragnarok and 1 DDD from the hand for D'Arc

-Temujin revives Abyss who revives the other DDD

That would explain why LDS has the summoning method of multiple dimensions (tribute, which evolved into pendulum and ... nevermind this, standard also has rituals ... and of course the three kinds of extra deck summons, this would actually lead to the assumption that pendulum is not a product of standard, but of all dimensions together).

Another monster for D/D's to support multiple summoning methods, if only reiji would use ritual summons ... anyways I guess this card will be buffed, similar to many cards used by reiji, if it gets released ... actually nvm this all of his cards have been released (up until the last 2 episodes) so we can safely assume this card is going to be released.

Back on topic ... this card adds more to the different dimension theme of D/D's so perhaps they will start to work with used materials ... someday.

What happened to Covenant with the Swamp King?  Reiji's deck has been oddly Fusion-centric in this two-parter.

Then again, he used Xyz too, so I don't know.

The way the duel was written, Reiji would have burnt himself to death with the Covenant. Besides, these also offer non-Yuki Usagi-able outs.

If he did acquire Summoning methods from various dimensions, that says something about how his monsters are "Different Dimension Demons" and adds an even greater concern about the theme of his Covenant cards. And how many of his support cards nullify, negate, or alter the contracts set by the Covenants.

Or how when he takes damage from them it appears to actually hurt, and looks like it burns part of his soul/life force. (Though if we subscribe to Evangelion logic losing part of his soul explains a LOT about Reiji's demeanour.)

Maybe he was desperate to find a way to deal with his father, so he made contracts with demons for that power.  Wouldn't be surprised if this had truth to it.
