BatMed
Name: Closed Portal SPELL | Field **Effect** Neither player can Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck. Any Special Summoned monster sent to the Graveyard is banished instead. Your opponent must has more total cards in their hand and their side of the field than you do to activate and to resolve those effects. During each of your opponent’s Standby Phases: Pay 1000 LP or destroy this card.
Rairaidani
No. No more floodgates, please. I don't want someone to make an explosive field and just slap down pseudo-Vanity's Emptiness. Your Extra Deck is a key part in winning in the meta. You having access to it on your turn and then shutting your opponent out just doesn't go. Same reasons Vanity's Emptiness can't stay. Having your cards being banished if they were to be destroyed isn't much of a downside either. Take a look at The Dominion of the Legendary Monarch. Similar idea to your card, but look at the requirements. No Extra Deck on your part and you have to control a Tribute Summoned monster while your opponent doesn't. At the very least, make your card so that it can't be activated when you control a special summoned monster from the extra deck or some additional restriction. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Indeed, this card is again another version of Vanity's. While yes, you can still Special Summon from the hand, Main Deck or Graveyard; it's still a floodgate, especially considering how ED-reliant the game has become nowadays. (See Pendulums and a lot of other things) And then, we have this as a Dimensional Fissure for SSed monsters (and you might as well call it that for the most part). Out of fairness, Yosenjus and Monarchs likely wouldn't care about this card's limitations. I'd say U.As but only the first part about the ED lock (second effect screws them up). ---- Notice how Vanity's has a condition that kills itself if a card gets sent to the Graveyard. You need one here, or at least something similar. Yes, MST and other effect removal exists, but still not much of an excuse to design a floodgate on par with (or even stronger than) Vanity's. Neutrality Man
Neither player can Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck. Also any Special Summoned monster sent to the Graveyard is banished instead. Your opponent must has have more total cards in their hand and their side of the field than you do to activate this card and to resolve those these effects. During each of your opponent’s Standby Phases: Pay 1000 LP or destroy this card. See, the problem with floodgates in general, is that they either work and you opponent dies horribly because you activated it last; or they don't because it's too easy to play around. Intentionally negging oneself isn't that hard to do between Synchros, Xyz, and just straight discarding, and the controller will have 7 turns to play before this kills them, max. Also, make the LP payment mandatory with "During each of your opponent’s Standby Phases: Pay 1000 LP (this is not optional). If you cannot; destroy this card." So we don't have another instance of Imperial Order's "I do all my s***, now you can go f*** yourself. Oh look it's my turn. I choose not to pay and destroy the card, now I do all my s*** again."
