Junkuriboh (Manga)

Recommended Posts

It seems like it'd suit better Yuma's deck which tried to stay alive while keeping a low amount of LP.

For Yusei, it is pretty much the equivalent of Relay Soul for Yugi.

That said, IDK, I still find this card acceptable because as I said just now... In decks that want to keep a low LP total, this sounds legit and it does destroy something so it isn't just a worse Kuriboh.

Also, I like the gimmicky but potentially lulzy use of stopping some burn FTK potential plays if you have it in hand.

When you would take damage that would reduce your LP to 0: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard to target the card that attacked or activated the effect; You take no damage, also destroy that target.

This one was a tough one to fix. Yet, it's a situational Kuriboh that destroys. But aren't all Kuriboh cards situational?

"When a card or effect is activated that would inflict damage to you and make your LP 0, OR during damage calculation, if you would take battle damage and make your LP 0: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard (this is a Quick Effect); you take no damage from that effect/attack, also destroy the card whose effect activated, or the opponent's monster you are battling."

This is as specific as I could get the PSCT to what the card actually does. Written out like this, it seems extremely situational, but perhaps if it were ever printed, it would get a buff to its original effect (the only thing I think needs changed is the "make your LP 0" restriction), and maybe even some sort of "Junk" or even generic Synchro support that applies from the Graveyard.
