Malacoda-Eviltail
Yes, another Zombie archetype from me though this time...It's all about the birds!! This WIND theme of zombie birds is similar to the well-known Mecha Phantom Beasts in which the monsters spawn forth Tokens in order to use their effects but while the MPBs do so when Summoned, the Carrion create their Tokens whenever they leave the field in order to keep field presence. In addition, their effects now activate in the Grave so any effect negation meant for the field...ain't gonna stop these boids. As usual, any comments, thoughts, and opinions are welcomed and any flaming is not tolerated so now onto the cards!Carrion Skull RavenAttribute: WINDLevel: *** (3)Type: Zombie/EffectATK: 1300DEF: 0Text: If this card is sent to the Graveyard: Special Summon 1 “Carrion Token” (Zombie-Type/WIND/Level 1/ATK 800/DEF 0) in Defense Position. Tinkerer
I've actually had my eye on this thread for a bit. I like how they look, but I do have 1 main critique; the token spam should be limited with an OPT or something. With how it is now, that token production might become OP since it's essentially free advantage and provides continuous field presence. And since they are summoned off any main deck Carrion hitting the Graveyard, it also makes discard cards essentially costless. Again, I don't wanna put these down, since I really like the flavor of these cards, but it would be good to tone down the million-tokens-appearing-from-nowhere scenario. Hmm...I was getting afraid of that to be honest - maybe I can rewrite that you can only use each effect (The Token production and the one standard for each member) once per turn...Does that work? Forest Fire
So I barely read this, but I like that when they die the birds become carrion. What might be neat is: 1) focus on carrion eating birds for names and then 2) make them have an effect where you tribute a carrion token (this would be sorta like them eating the carrion which would be flavorful and all). well... looks like you already thought of at least 1 of those 2 things (too lazy to look up carrion eating birds). the archetype feels pretty synergistic and all. i'm really not sure what to suggest... Tinkerer
Yeah, that should work fine. Heavy milling or random dumps should still provide enough tokens for the archetype's purposes.

~Faytl~
I really like the look of these guys. That level 1 Tuner has the potential to be broke as hell, since it destroys a card AND summons itself to make more tokens when it leaves the field. All in all a rlly good concept that's well executed. KUROSAKI SHUN APPROVES.

WaffleCone
I really enjoy the feel of these cards but I do have some issues with them. They're kind of like Burning Abyss on steroids that you can splash non-archetype monsters into. (Mathematician gonna go ham). Synchroing/Fusing them or even just detaching them from am Xyz monster procs the small birds' effects leading to big pluses every time you Extra Deck Summon. The archetype is very strong on its own, but feels like it could get ridiculous with generic zombie support (uni-zombie and zombie master would be insane in this Deck) Even the WIND attributing is strong, giving access to the amazing Lightning Chidori, plus, this Deck mixed with the older zombies would be the first Deck that could easily produce Dark Simorgh, allowing for some lock potential on top of all their other strength. WaffleCone
Hmm...Anything that can be done to balance them a bit in your view?I'm not quite sure. Maybe limit their effects to activate only if sent from the field or Deck to the grave, rather than anywhere. (Stops them from being activated from the hand, which stops the absurdities zombie master could do, as well as limiting uni-zombie and other cards. Also stops them from activating when detached as Xyz materials, but still lets them float/get milled). Might not be enough but its the best change I can think of that wouldn't mess with the flavor of the cards.
