Tribute 1 Xyz Monster; Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 monster with the same Type, Attribute, and Rank as that Tributed monster had on the field, but with a different name, and if you do, attach this card to it as an Xyz Material. During the End Phase, send it to the Graveyard. You can only activate 1 "Xyz Shift" per turn.

 

I really think this card has a lot of potential with some new cards. Because it is searchable and does great with Xyz's that float if sent to Graveyard.

 

-Heraldic Beasts can tribute Patriarch to summon Crest, then you dump 2 more from your Deck to Grave. If youre running Generation Force you can also search for Xyz Change Tactics aka that draw card whenever you xyz an Utopia. So, as you may know, HBs are masters in rank 4s. Just go for another Xyz Summon this time N39 Utopia, then draw. Use Crest ability to copy Utopia. Use both to Summon two C39's, draw 2. Use both to summon two Utopia Lightning, more 2 cards. Total of 5 cards drawn and you have 2 massive beaters.

 

-Tellars could tribute their triverr\delteros to go into another thing and get their effs.

Thing is, 69 doesn't do anything for Heraldics, and even if it did 8 does its job better anyway.

The heraldic use to evolve into 8 for otking purposes is the only reaspnably playable usage, and that's old news.

69 is meant to copy your xyz's so you can use its eff twice, of course unless that xyz has a hard OPT. Anyway i wouldt say it does nothing, still a 2k6 revivable beater and can negate stuff.

Ok, but still. isnt that a bit overwhelming how you only really need 2 cards to make this play. I mean,,,5 cards for the cost of 2500 LP while setting the graveyard.

And even 8 isn't that good in a format where only 1-2 Xyz Decks are being played.

It is mostly meant for those 2500+ extra damage, from what I see.

Or if you want to imitate an anime play, go Utopia and Double up Chance, then switch to Utopia Ray if you didn't OTK.

 

Even then the fact it doesn't Xyz Summon hurts it a lot. If it was a non-quick effect that allowed the monster to stay and was treated as an Xyz Summon, that'd be better. 

Then again, from the top of my head, it sounds like going into 3 material monsters wouldn't be as huge because you'd either already be able to Summon them with relative ease on a regular basis (so that they'd even warrant the space) so this card would be not-so-needed, or it'd be needed and those would just be using up space in the Extra Deck until you could draw it.

 

I'm probably over-analyzing it. 

It sounds like it should have something but can't come up with something truly good. Even the Heraldic Beast use..... Hmm..
