I was watching this with one of my friends and when that cake disaster happened, the first thing that came to mind was the Baked Alaska incident (or BinGate/BakedAlaskaGate). rscrash Posted August 7, 2015 Author Report Share Posted August 7, 2015 I said to myself this year that each weekend I'm going to bake one of the contestant's bakes from that week's episode (yeah let's see how long that lasts), so I was looking on the GBBO website to see what recipes they have up, and one of the five was the beetroot cake? Why in the world would they put that up, let alone anyone want to bake it, after the comments about it and how much it clearly did not work? Quadruple Chocolate Black Forest Gateau up though (I think I'll try the far easier pistachio and rosewater Madeira cake though... @_@). BTW that face that Paul Hollywood does when he clearly thinks your bake is seriously going to fail.
