I've always enjoyed drawing birds, but I never knew how much i would be into making these. Basically the gimmicky/techy support i've dreamt about, the one we never got in DOCS.

Raidraptor - Feint Strix (DARK)

[Winged Beast/Xyz/Effect]

2 Level 5 Winged Beast-Type monsters
This card gains 500 ATK and DEF for each other Winged Beast-Type monster you control. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; send 1 "Raidraptor" card from your Deck to the Graveyard and in you do, this card gains 1000 ATK and DEF until the end of the next Damage Step this card attacks or is attacked (does not stack).

Feint attack/or defense is a term from military tactics, the initial concept was Spell/Trap negation during RR attacks, it negated the spell/trap and the attack altogether, like actual feint, also gave an additional attack as compensation... but it was too bothersome, not that it is too original as it is now, it's basically Foolish+Strix+Gauntlet Warrior :D

[Quick-play spell card]

If you control a face-up "Raidraptor" Xyz Monster, activate one of the following effects or both (in this order)

- Add 1 Xyz Material currently attached to a "Raidraptor" Xyz Monster you control to your hand.

- Discard 1 "Raidraptor" card and draw 2 cards.

 

 

 

I don't know how this would classify in terms of card advantage - +1/+2?

It was designed with synergy with both effects, but it also takes the luxury from you to first draw cards, and then select the monster you want to detach to your hand. 

Basically a fallback option for when your Xyz are bound to die and you need to make the best of it, or when you're out of resources - i think it fits with the archetype's defeatist spirit and comeback based strategy. 

 

Reload, because Raidraptors are in my oppinion birds with armored suits and  cannons/missiles/cluster rockets and have cool propulsion with exhaust pipes, so there is a chance they use some kind of fuel as well. 2 of the initial names that were scrapped - Ration and Replenish (i drew a nest with birds feeding and a watering fountain art for the latter, but they seemed too birdy and less rebellion-y).

Raidraptor - Recon (TRAP)
 
[Continuous Trap Card]
Each time you Summon a "Raidraptor" monster during this turn, apply following effects in succession:
1: Look at 1 random card in your opponent's hand or 1 Set card they control.
2: Look at the top card of your opponent's Deck, then put that card on the top or bottom of their Deck.
3: Declare 1 card name; if that card is in your opponent's hand, they must discard all copies of it, otherwise you take 500 damage. After this effect resolves, reset the count.

 

 

As the name hints - it's a reconnaissance mission. Every time you Summon a new unit, you get further into completing it. See a random card, then check your opponents deck and plan what they might be doing and hinder it, then Mind Crush him!!!. After you discard his card, you would have already checked his hand, so if you manage a 4th summon you can then scout the field for any face-down traps.

[Winged Beast/Effect]

Once per turn, during your Main Phase, if this card was Summoned this turn: You can decrease the Levels of all "Raidraptor" monsters you currently control by 1. If this card is added to your hand by a "Raidraptor" card effect: You can Special Summon this card. You can only Special Summon "Raidraptor - Flocking Lanius" once per turn this way. When a "Raidraptor" Monster was Xyz Summoned using this card as Xyz Material: You can detach this card from it; Switch that Xyz Monster's original ATK and DEF.

This card gains 750 ATK and 1000 DEF for each Xyz Material attached to it. At the start of each Battle Phase; this card gains an additional attack for each Xyz Material on this card. When this card would be destroyed: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from an Xyz Monster you control; this card is not destroyed and gains 1000 ATK and 750 DEF.

Please keep in mind that this kind of comment isn't acceptable in Custom Cards.

Here, you must explain your opinion on why you think the cards are good.

 

We don't expect you to write a whole essay, but certainly explain your thought process a bit.

 

I'd advise you read the section rules again before posting further.

OK. That was kind of awkward, sorry i didn't give you a tip on casual commenting, but moderators know the guidelines scold people better...

 

Anyway, i have a new upload this week, - Raidraptor - Jet Harrier

Harriers are birds of prey,... like the rest of the RRs. It's name is also a pun, if not downright carbon copy of the Harrier Jump Jet aircrafts.
