evil cucumber
Neither player can add cards from their Deck to their hand except bydrawing them. Monsters cannot be Special Summoned from the Main Deck. Destroy this card during your 2nd Standby Phase after activation. Could this be more viable than Mistake on the nekroz match ups? As a ritual beast player, Royal Decree pretty much wrecks me if i dont draw mst or have dolphin, and Mistake doesnt look that worth in the deck. Given how it also searches a lot Seems like it could do good against kozmos too, mainly to stop their floats. Unless they have Sliprider, so thats not certain.. (GigaDrillBreaker)
Considering Nekroz rarely if ever run Decree, this just feels like a mistake that can't be chained, thus losing value in game 1 (game 2 it would not be uncommon to flip it during standby phase to dodge Denko) and it even has a time limit. Not really sure how useful the second effect is.
Maeriberii Haan
Isn't the winner of Rimini ran this on the side? I wonder what was his reasoning.
evil cucumber
I didnt see this particular player matches, but if he was running nekroz, this is used on the mirror to lock your opponent once you build a better advantage
Maeriberii Haan
Was it the only reasoning though? Afaik Mistake is better in doing that.
Progenitor
Stops Yang Zing, Graff....maybe Deltros....idk what else. Shadow Mist? Sure.Honestly Mistake is generally better. Though I suppose this can somehow be better in the situation that you need to play Mistake the turn you drop it.Other than that it's just mistake that also happens to stop floating. However, it is worthy of note that this is MST bait, and it self destructs. This was used in Nekroz, since he didn't actually run anything that could get rid of his Mistake. Therefore this says "Mistake for 2 turns, then on your turn you can do all the searching shenanigans and probably win that turn" So yeah it's only really useful in the Nekroz Mirror. (GigaDrillBreaker)
I have always found the concept of MST bait to be a silly argument. If the opponent is adequate, and they used MST on a floodgate, you didn't "bait" it, they just used the card to its intended effect.
