THANK YOU. They're honestly perfectly balanced,

Maybe make Paladin a contact fusion?

I could, but I like the idea of this being a generic-y support.

It's easier to summon the Dark Paladin, but has both up and downsides to balance the shift.

Dark Magician - How about you pay 1 less tribute to SS him if you control Toon World? Anyways. Not much to this card is there?

Dark Paladin - Ok I already like the idea of this card as there's Buster Blader support coming out soon. Lemme read the effect. Hmmmmm.... if that spell destroying was once per turn then I'd like this card.

These cards are just a tiny bit too unbalanced in my opinion to really be good for the game. I really like the concepts of both soo... 5.5/10. It's just my opinion though. I don't hate the cards.

uh what

a 2500 special summon that can't attack and can only have one copy SSd per turn is weak

and toon dark paladin is a port of the original, but more generic, in exchange for attack lockdown

they're not imbalanced at all for the current game, unless you think they're weak, which DM is a bit

I still think it's a bit... too much... I think maybe "If you control a "Toon" monster or "Manga Ryu Ran" you can Special Summon this card (from your hand)." Just so it works with the other cards a bit more.

You have to have the field. Adding anything on to it as a restriction makes it trash.

It's unlikely to even be played as is, as Toons very much prefer their Level 4s that are ACTUALLY good, this was mostly an attempt at showing how to do a LEgacy Support high level toon, unlike Buster Blader and Barrel Dragon.

And unlike those, I even left the kill clause on both of these guys to further balance it. Kill the Field/OG Toon World and they go poof.

I guess so. it just doesn't feel right with me. I'm prob the minority on this though.

tbh, I get WHERE you're coming from.

Card design has changed a lot, and design standards have to change with the power creep. Sure, DUEA onward has been a MOSTLY standard level of creep, with anything going too far getting smacked, but it's still accelerated from what most people would design from. And I kinda wish I could design from there.

But that's not the present, so even when a design feels wrong, it may very well be right. Not saying these are infallible, just how it goes nowadays, and why good/bad design is constantly harder to pin than before in YGO.
