Hey Guys!!!

So i was just looking around the yugioh wiki i and i though , Can i make a card that can be summoned using 2 different summoning methods while being practical and not creating a new completely different summoning method altogether? and this is what i came up with:

Just in case you are wondering "Flip" is an actual archetype: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Flip_monster

Tell me what you think of it.

2 Level 8 monsters

This card is Special Summoned in face-down position. This card cannot be Flip Summoned on the turn it was Special Summoned in the face-down position. This card cannot be destroyed on the turn it was Special Summoned in the face-down position. This card can declare an attack after it is Flip Summoned.

When any player's monster declares an attack: You can detach 1 XYZ Material from this card, negate the attack, destroy the attacking monster and gain its ATK points till the end of your turn.

FLIP: Target 1 level 5 or below monster in your or your opponent's graveyard: Special Summon that target.

No, of course it can't. It's just been summoned.

I don't quite get that. Can it not attack if it wasn't flip summoned?

But other than that, I like this card. It's very innovative. Though I think you should extend the destruction protection to your opponent's next turn as well. But then again, it has a lot of DEF. It's flip effect is rather powerful. Perhaps, in exchange for its attack protection and ability to steal a monster, you could lower its stats a bit?

And it says it is special summoned in face-down. Is that all kinds of summons? Like say, if you revive it from the graveyard with Call of the Haunted, it would be face-down? I think you should change that to Xyz Summon.

The thing is when you overlay 2 monsters and XYZ summon this monster it is automatically put into a face-down position and on the next turn you have to Flip summon it for it to be...well...Face-up...This would mean it gets its FLIP effect and it can now be treated as a normal XYZ monster with a FLIP effect of course. Also when you revive this card from the graveyard it is in face-up position and the extra turn for flip summoning is not required. In such a case it has all of its abilities including the destruction protection for on the turn it was summoned. Also this card has quite some DEF so i think that if i increase the destruction protection for one more turn it would become overpowered and we wouldn't want that now would we?

BTW, Thanks for the idea though i really appreciate your opinion. :)
