Sander
Spiritual NecromancerRank 4 / LIGHTSpellcaster / Xyz / Effect2 Level 4 monstersDuring either players turn: You can attach 1 Spirit Monster from your hand, field or Graveyard to this card as an Xyz Material. This effect can only be used once while this card is face-up on the field. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 Spirit Monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon 1 "Medium Token" in face-up Attack Position. Its Type, Attribute, Level, ATK and DEF are the same as the targeted monsters, and it gains its effect(s), but it is destroyed during the End Phase.2200 / 1800 First effect is meant to work with in conjunction with Nikitama, so the best play would be to make this with Nikitama + random Level 4 whilst you control a Spirit monster => detach Nikitama, triggering Nikitama's effect to draw 1 and get a token of X/X. Looking at it though, it doesn't really support Spirits that much, given that a deck that uses Aratama + Nikitama doesn't usually run anything with high stats to make the second effect to be threatening, and the the likes of Yaksha and Rasetsu / etc only trigger when Normal Summoned anyways, so most of the time the token ends up as an effect-less token. ~~~~
I am currently trying to build a Spirit deck in real life to play tag teams with a Psy-Frames player I am friends with. The medium token works well with Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi. Maybe some way of helping trigger the battle damage effects of Hino/Yamata would be useful, because they are very powerful effects. The Xyz itself could be classed as a Spirit monster to help with detaching Nikitama. Maybe it would return to the Extra Deck during the End Phase if it has no Xyz Materials? Just as a quick OCG correction of sorts: I think that "pay cost then target.." is generally preferred over "pay cost to target..". All in all, this is a card I wish would be printed in real life. Good job!

Trebuchet MS
What would the consequences be if, instead of spawning a Token that's the same kind as the Spirit, it Special Summons said Spirit while ignoring the Summoning conditions? Retention of the Spirit is a non-issue since you make the Spirit self-destruct at the end of the turn.

Kind of ruins the flavour behind the card, other than that, the change that you're suggesting literally changes nothing.
Darj
To be fair, that change would make easier to use Nikitama's card draw effect: If you only control this but no other Spirits, and it has Nikitama attached or can attach it with its re-attach effect, then you can detach Nikitama, revive a Spirit or alternatively make the Token be treated as an Spirit, and Nikitima's draw effect should be able to activate.
