Not sure how to feel about this. I feel like it's an overreaction, but basically nothing can be seen as an overreaction to the Holocaust

To anyone who has seen this funking amazing series, it's not like it glorifies the Nazi's, hell an entire major subplot is about a high ranking nazi official who wants give japan an edge over Germany due to the atrocities he's seen

But again, you can't with good conscious say anything is overreacting without being accused of being a neo Nazi

This isn't really related but I'm going to have to watch that now, that's one of the coolest concepts for a show I've seen in a while don't know why I've not heard about it before.

Virus free, has that and basically every other show normal people watch 96:94 on rotten tomatoes so it's not just something that only I like

Bit dark IMO, but that's what makes it amazing, I can't wait for season 2

I need to watch this now.

Also, the Nazi's were f*cking evil, but their imagery and art is awesome looking.

It's odd because Hitler repeatedly wrote of his admiration of the East Asian and Indian people for being ancient and wise civilization, but Judaism is almost as old as either of those cultures. Something just doesn't make sense in that man's logic train

That aside, it's honestly in my top 3 television shows even above Breaking Bad would recommend 11/10

Reason for that was Jews were seen as war profiteers in Germany and following WWI in which the Germans were heavily demoralized, they were seen as scapegoats in a way.

As far as this goes, I mean I can see why it's offensive, but in the entertainment business, lines often have to be crossed. If a black man found himself seeing the filming of a movie about slavery, he'd probably be okay with hearing the word jabroni, and by the same token, I'd assume that people would be okay with Nazi imagery once finding out its for filming a series.

This isn't really that new an idea. The whole "what if Germany won WWII has been around for ages.

As for the topic at hand, its one thing to have the imagery in the show. Thats what the show is about. However decking out a NYC Subway Car with it is REALLY not a smart thing to do. Pretty sure they are getting pulled which is the smart move.

Not seen or heard of any TV series about it which was what I referred to. And it's based off a book from the 1960s so this is one of the ones around for ages.

And to have this post be on topic, I can't really understand why it was an issue for them finding sites to film and people wouldn't let them use their premises, it's not like by allowing a show featuring Nazis to be filmed they'd be endorsing Naziism or anything. That struck me as a bit overly cautious on behalf of the people doing it.

Fair enough. I was just saying if you went looking you'll find lots of media that play with the idea.

I get why they wouldn't want any kind of Nazi imagery on the premises. It just pure poison so avoiding it at all costs does make sense. I get why you'd feel it is overly cautious though. The NYC train thing however was just a dumb move on there part.
