ZSaberMyst
Hey guys! This is my first time on this forum, but I'm no stranger to Battle City/Expert Style (?) rules.Today I want to show you, for one, the new cards I made. I kept it simple as not to go OP on ya. Well, not so simple as you would expect. That leads me to my next topic: I'm looking at ways to summon monsters and I would surely appreciate the feedback. Card names: Book of Atrus; Myst Book; Zero Senki, Explorer of Myst; The Stranger of Myst; Treegate; Myst Island. Let me explain this summoning style to you: I'm not sure if this was taken, but I was thinking that I can use 2 specific spell cards in quick succession for a choice of 2 monsters clearly defined in the 2 cards. For example, "Book of Atrus" and "Myst Book" give you the option of choosing "Zero Senki, Explorer of Myst" or "The Stranger of Myst" to Special Summon on the field. Now the monsters can be summoned normally, but when you special summon the specified monster, it gives your monster a buff of some sort, such as added ATK, DEF, immunity against spells, etc. as listed in the monster's effect. I also have two field cards so far, referencing various places you can explore in the actual game, such as Treegate. Now for the details in the cards: TreegateField SpellLore: If a player successfully makes a third summon, change the phase to main phase 2"These passageways are narrow, and one wrong move could put you in the water" Myst IslandField SpellLore: Players will be limited to 3 Spell and Monster slots. if any cards were above this limit before activation, send those cards to the graveyard."This island has a lone feeling to it. It's as if it was made for one person." Book of AtrusNo particular type of spellLore: If you activate this in conjunction with "Myst Book", you can Special Summon either "Zero Senki, Explorer of Myst" or "The Stranger of Myst" Myst BookNo particular type of spellLore: If you activate this in conjunction with "Book of Atrus", you can Special Summon either "Zero Senki, Explorer of Myst" or "The Stranger of Myst" The Stranger of MystATK: 1500 DEF: 1300EARTH/Spellcaster/EffectEffect: If you have the spell cards "Book of Atrus" and "Myst Book", you can Special Summon this monster by activating the two spell cards. If you have Special Summoned this card, raise the DEFENSE by 200 points. Zero Senki, Explorer of MystATK: 1700 DEF: 1400LIGHT/Warrior/EffectEffect: If you have the spell cards " Book of Atrus" and "Myst Book", you can Special Summon this monster by activating the two spell cards. If you have Special Summoned this card, raise the ATTACK by 200 points. These cards provide a good example of this "Dual Spell Summon" as I call it. Again, I would appreciate the feedback. Dova
Okay, the summon method is a bit confusing. The cards summon the monster, but the monster also summons itself with the spell cards? Only one of them needs to do it. I like the idea, but I feel you can go further with it.
Horu
There are cards in the game that technically do nothing. Toon World has an activation cost and really just sits there. So if you actually think about it, these cards generally do the same thing. They get activated, chain together, then summon a monster. After that, they serve no purpose. Maybe you can make them equip cards so they protect the monster you choose to summon. Let's say your monster battles something stronger, you could send one of the spells to the graveyard to keep your monster on the field.
ZSaberMyst
Thanks for the feedback! Myst is one of my top favorite games of all time. And one question: how can I get my cards to show on screen in a topic? Thanks in advance. Oh, and unless you activate the cards to Special Summon, you won't get the aforementioned buff(s). Okay, the summon method is a bit confusing. The cards summon the monster, but the monster also summons itself with the spell cards? Only one of them needs to do it.
