New GOP debate coming up (2016 US Pres. Race)

Part of me (the super-liberal part) is afraid to tune into the Republican debate for fear of either laughing too much to finish studying or becoming so horrified that I stop caring. The rest doesn't care enough about politics to watch it, though I'm sure someone will say something fuckin' stupid that'll get passed around Facebook for a while.

I'm going to willingly admit I am a Liberal.  I'm tuning into the GOP debate because, to not hear both sides of the arguments that affect me as a US citizen is silly.

Oh look, more in-fighting.  funk's sake.  There's like two members of the GOP with common sense up there.

It sort of astounds me how the Republican party can't stop fighting itself long enough to pick up an election they'd be sure to win if they could just pick someone and stick to him/her. America's primed to oust Obama and the Democrats for at least a term but not if this bickering keeps up.

Just to win the nomination you have to show yourself to be some ridiculous ultra conservative but to win the general election you need to be more of a moderate. The more fighting there is the more conservative the candidates have to make themselves out to be and the more they've ultimately shot themselves in the foot for the general election.

The party had ended up like this because of their failed efforts to get anything done even with the majority of lawmakers Republican.

With Boehner quitting, things got worse. The party has a sort of identity crisis with people too split which explains why there's so many candidates. Trump made things worse. He was going to run as an independent, but then changed his mind and figured he'd get more support if he joined them. This didn't make the tea party to happy so I guess they endorsed candidates that would oppose trump.... To make things worse we got Christie running, as if his scandal from laster year didn't discourage this. To make things worse Carson doesn't grasp foreign policy well. Santorum and Huckabee won't get larger support since their demographic of endorsers are so few. Cruz messed up by defending Kim Davis. Rubio's policies are too moderate in other candidates eyes. Reminds me of that one democratic candidate who was originally a Republican but changed because he said "there are no moderate Republicans". With so many there will be little support split between each of them. As for Jeb he's in a category of his own...

Paul said something I can agree with.

"I think if we ban certain religions, if we censor the Internet, I think that at that point, the terrorists will have won."  Keep that sheet up, and if neither Bernie nor O'Malley make it, I'll vote for this dude.
